Purchased this game just over 6 years ago when writing this review, nothing substantial has changed, it's still very much a shell.

Avoid at all costs.

Timeless... Whenever you look at your libary and not know what to play with your spare 30-40 minutes, FTL is always there. Before you know it, you've forgotten to go and do your adult life things and spent all day playing FTL.

'The Promising Early Access Title from Indie Stone'

I wanted to wait to be more experienced before writing this review, but couldn't at all! This game will have you jumping from the first minute you start playing, to the last, even when you half expect a Zombie to be hidden in a bathroom waiting for you to open a door, it still shocks you, with its gripping yet gory soundtrack, to the way they lunge towards you from the darkness.

Once you've done some messing around with pressing buttons, you will find crafting and cooking very easy to work out too, with a little help from the wikia on what food items go into what food recipes, you're away, making yourself Grilled Cheese Sarnies, Soup and Coffee.

My first major mistake, and the first way this game managed to fulfil its promise in killing me, was letting me find a pistol and some ammo early on. Feeling powerful, I fired off some shots at oncoming Zeds, before I knew it I was out of ammo, with a Horde chasing me down, unable to get away, I slowly got eaten, limb to limb.

After a few deaths and happy mistakes, you realise your own play-style and quickly develop dynamic ways to stay alive.

This game is still in Beta, but its showing great promise, and from the moment you start to play, you won't be able to put it down and stop.

With Indie Stone working on a stable multiplayer for this game, and currently in the progress of changing to a better engine and more features and skills to rank. I'm looking forward to the future of this game.
