Great game with great replayability. Deep story and literally everything you do will be commented on by others which adds amazing depth to this game.

Gameplay-wise this game feels more fluid and dynamic compared to hades 1. This definitely is the superior game, even though Hades 1 was a great game as well.

Art direction, sound design and music are all top-notch and I would recommend anyone who's into this kind of game to buy it.

Barely worth a recommendation and let me tell you why:

Good things first: Combat feels pretty nice and the sound design is insanely good. The graphics are decent enough but the Ninja Gaiden 2 Black remaster looks a lot better.

That being said, as someone who played since the first Ninja Gaiden on XBOX and absolutely love the series, I think this game in particular isn't very Ninja Gaiden. Ryu is a side character in his own game which I didn't like. Yakumo still plays very nicely but I like Ryu's playstyle more personally.

Gameplay-wise I think the game is extremely boring. The levels are VERY bland. 90% of the levels have dark depressing rain and it's very uninspired. For half of almost every level you're playing Temple Run. Many segments where you're literally put on rails or flying which I felt were unnecessary. Most of the enemies and environments are very techy and there's barely any variety here. There are a few cringeworthy f-bombs in the game which really doesn't fit Ninja Gaiden and made my eyes roll. The music is generic emo metalcore music and not memorable at all. This is something for in a gym playlist and not for in a Ninja Gaiden game. Luckily there are some recognizable tracks that you may recognize from previous games.

Combat is the main strength here. It leans heavily into gauge management, which feels less like classic Ninja Gaiden, but still enjoyable enough. On normal difficulty, the game felt quite easy. Most bosses went down in one or two attempts.

In the end, the combat is cool, and that is the only reason I can give it a recommendation. If you can ignore the boring level and enemy design, you may still find something to enjoy.

Weak game, weak story, wonky puzzles through many of which you can just brute force your way with your abilities. Combat is also very weak only the visuals are amazing. Levels are way too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ long and controls with gamepad on PC are janky as ♥♥♥♥.

You get so many abilities that you forget which one you have to solve a puzzle. Nonsensical mechanics at times.

I cant stand this piece of ♥♥♥♥ game. Controls are very buggy: try a jump 5x, fail and then randomly succeed on the 6th.

If you fail a jump you usually go ALL THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WAY AROUND and try it again.

Bad sense of direction, frequently no idea where to go what to do, running around in circles. I know this is the charm of older games but ♥♥♥♥ did i feel like i wasted my time.

I’d say the platforming and the retarded ledge grabbing mechanic are the biggest reason to avoid this game. I’m about 70% done and i cant wait to uninstall this garbage tier piece of ♥♥♥♥ game

You can have a good experience with playing the campaign and expansions but FKN HELL THIS GAME GETS GRINDY.

The a-hole developers will put you through the most mundane annoying un-fun grinds and just when you think you are done and get a specific reward they go ahead and dump another continuing quest on you.

Maybe this is due to the insanely bad UI where there’s a plethora of menus and you dont even get a good overview of where stuff is. It’s just bad.

I was an avid D1 player and enjoyed it a lot and still love the art direction and setting in general. Even though the campaign is fine i just cant recommend it because of the insane soul numbing grinds.

Ninja Gaiden used to be my all-time favorite game. However these days replaying Sigma (like, why the in the living ♥♥♥♥ not give us Black), quality of life is just so outdated. Clear a chapter but happen to die on the next without saving? Have to replay from your last savepoint on the previous chapter.

If you die (a lot) you need to look at the long tedious Game over screen, and wait for an annoyingass loading screen to continue playing.

If you die on the final boss, you need to replay an annoying part EVERY FUCING TIME just to get killed again. Things like this prevent me from enjoying this game like I used to, since I got used to the modern flow of games (checkpoints).

However if you liked Sigma back then, you'll like it now too.

Wanted to play this game because I've never played it. Went fine for the first few hours until THE CANCER THAT IS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ UPLAY decided to ♥♥♥♥ everything up. This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retardedass piece of sad ♥♥♥♥♥♥ software cannot even boot the game properly. I start the game from within Steam or even from within the disease-ridden Uplay and it will say it is running but then ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nothing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ happens god ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dammit are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ uplay, can't we wipe this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ software off the face of this Earth? Holy hell. Other than that the game seems fun to play, will try to install again later once I have calmed the ♥♥♥♥ down. ♥♥♥♥ YOU UPLAY HOLY ♥♥♥♥

If you're like me and just want to play the main story line with the occasional side mission, you're in for a LOOONG BORINGASS grindy game. Prepare yourself to play 2-3 short story missions and then grind 3 hours to gain two levels to play the next story mission, rinse repeat.

However if you like exploration and want to play the same type of grindy side missions, then this game is for you.

Story was not interesting at all and you should save yourself some money and watch a playthrough on YouTube instead.

When it works, it's fun. Keyword ''WHEN''. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game crashes about 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times before it works so be prepared to sacrifice 20 mins out of your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ life in order to play. YEA I KNOW IT'S EARLY ACCESS BUT AT LEAST GET THE GAME TO BOOT PROPERLY INSTEAD OF MAKING ME STARE AT A LOADSCREEN FOLLOWED BY A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CRASH.
