Fun game

I really wanted to like this game but there are lots of bugs and optimisation issues.

My first Atelier game and I enjoyed it a lot. The characters have interesting story and the interactions between them are well done.

The fighting mechanic is really simple while the alchemy part is tiring but enjoyable once I get the hang of it. I played on medium difficulty on my first play through and it was quite easy.

Some problems for PC port:
1. Avoid playing this game with keyboard and mouse and use a controller.
2. Anti-alias quality is bad.
(They said they are working on update addressing these issues)

This game reminds me of a flash game called Material Sniper 10 years ago.

Heroine of the sniper is a 3D FPS game. The movement is a bit wonky but not game breaking. Bullet in this game has time of flight system and has no bullet drop. There are 3 difficulty settings, you unlock hard after finishing medium. Each difficulty has 15 missions. After finishing each mission, you can unlock skills which makes the game easier.

The most important element in this game is the scope mechanism. It has scope sway mechanism. The sway can be controlled by holding breath. The recoil is severe after each shot (there is a skill tree that can reduce this).

There is frame pacing problem with this game. Although the frame rate is high, it feels choppy.

To conclude, this game is quite fun to play. It has Material Sniper vibe to it and I like it.

So frustrating, yet so addictive.

10/10 would crash.
