Early(er) Cold War setting gets a thumbs up from me. It really makes you play quite differently when you don't have all the modern toys you are used to in the later periods. I will say there are some missed opportunities when it comes to the story telling in missions, like in mission 1 it would have been cool to get some reports from the teams securing the crashsite or something, some more work could be done to make the scenarios feel a little more real considering it's a paid dlc.

But overall pretty well done and if you are into CMO and earlier cold war stuff, you will like it.

Very good game overall. If you want an anime-style game with actually good gameplay, and a serviceable story and fun characters this is for you. I hope we get a sequel.

Updating my review now that it's been a few years. Overall the game is in a pretty good state.

Due to ongoing development you will run into bugs and things can break sometimes with new updates, but the current version of the game as of this review is working quite well and is pretty fun to play.

If you want an experience that's basically an upgraded Xenonauts 1, this is a good option for you. Doesn't truly reinvent much, although there are a fair amount of new mechanics and stuff from the first game, so don't expect a big revolution in turn-based games. However, since XCOM by Firaxis is likely dead or close to it since Jake Solomon and many others left the studio, if you want a new X-Com like game this is basically as close as you can get.

I would probably recommend you wait til full release to truly dive into it but there is a decent amount of content in the game right now so if you are itching for a turn-based alien killer you are pretty safe with this if you are willing to but up with some clunkyness and bugs.

Great game. Might not be for everyone but I think if it looks at all interesting to you, you should play it.

Amazing game, the gameplay is superb and the atmosphere is great. The only thing I can see some people disliking about it is that the ending and much of the story is up to interpretation, so you kind of have to think about it more than most games, but even if you didn't like the ending the journey alone is worth the price of admission.

Good WW1 shooter, very fun. I think it has some issues but overall worth the money.

Overall a good sequel to Destroy All Humans Remake 1. Lives up to the hype and quality standards. I feel it is missing a few things:

-Dislocator sucks compared to original, I never used it.

-Hardest difficulty is no fun because it takes 10 years for your shields to begin regenerating, doesn't make it a fun challenge just takes more time. Also no achievement for beating on hardest so literally no point, just play it on normal don't make the same mistake I did.

-A few things were cut, while other things were left in. If you are going to allow the whole japanese level to exist, don't bother cutting other things. The whole series is supposed to be about crass and offensive humor, and a lot of it isn't funny but it's part of the charm.

-Weapon balance is kinda ♥♥♥♥, Ion Detonator, Sonic Boom, Quantum Deconstructor seriously need buffs because it's almost always better to just use your more basic weapons. Fully upgraded these things should absolutely wreck everything, DAH isn't supposed to be a subdued experience.

Apart from these things, it's very much worth playing.

Runs well, buggy af, but it's fun.

Greatest Modern Warfare Strategy Simulation. If want to simulate modern or cold war battles at the strategic level using ships, subs, planes etc this is the game for you. Patience and ability to learn required.
