I've not played many shoot 'em up games before but I can say I thoroughly enjoy this game. it has super responsive movement, really fun powerups and all the bosses are super unique from one another. the difficulty system is really nice for when I want something a bit more intense as the enemies become harder to defeat.
I do think completing a full run through is a bit jarring as it sends you back to the menu without much feedback of successful run and while 12 levels makes for a nice length seeing more in the future would be a very welcomed thing.
This will definitely be a game I play for a while to fill out the skill tree and get all the achievements for and for only 5 dollars that's a great price.
Pixel art is by far my favourite medium and this sports some fantastic pixel art.
Overall very well put together and enjoyable game.
