First impressions of the game are good, the game runs smoothly (no crashes or frame drops) - using a 7900 XT.
The cinematics look great and the graphics are top notch.
I have seen other users having experience with frame drops and crashes though, so might be a coin flip on whether you'll have luck.

The price is quite high for what you're getting with this game, it is also limiting for Ultrawide users which is disappointing as well.

I would recommend this game at a discounted price, but at this current full price I could only recommend it to people that are big fans of the original.

Mafia: Old Country – Review
Rating: 5/10

Note: I came into this game as a longtime fan of the Mafia series, having thoroughly enjoyed the first three entries. I even pre-ordered the deluxe edition of Mafia: Old Country with high hopes and expectations. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met. After finishing the game, I have no desire to replay it, and I’m left with a generally sour impression. It was, simply put, a disappointment.

The Positives
Graphics & World Design: The game looks absolutely stunning. The setting, lighting, and overall atmosphere are immersive and beautifully crafted. The visuals and art direction are easily one of the game’s strongest points.

Cutscenes & Presentation: Mafia: Old Country is undeniably cinematic. The direction and presentation of cutscenes show that this game had the potential to be one of the best in the series, at least in terms of production quality.

Where It Falls Apart
The Story: The plot is disappointingly predictable and suffers from weak writing. As the story progresses, character motivations become increasingly inconsistent, with personalities shifting abruptly from one chapter to the next. The main character's motivations are especially underwhelming and fail to deliver a satisfying payoff.

The Ending: The conclusion feels rushed and unearned—emotional for the sake of being emotional, without real depth or logic behind the protagonist’s decisions. It left me feeling let down and disinterested in engaging with the post-game content. I had initially planned to pursue 100% completion and collect all the achievements, but the ending soured that completely.

Gameplay & Mission Design: Compared to Mafia: Definitive Edition—which had a genuinely challenging race you could lose—this game strips all difficulty from its race missions (both the horse race and car race), making them nearly impossible to fail. It’s a baffling design choice that completely undermines those segments.
Additionally, most missions fall into a repetitive loop: stealth -> cutscene reveals you -> shoot your way out. It gets stale quickly. This repetitiveness might have been forgivable if the story had been more engaging.
The game also leans heavily into clunky knife fights (around 10 in total), which feel like a poor imitation of Uncharted 4’s Rafe boss battle.

Lack of Open World Integration: Everything about the game—from the map and vehicle customization to scattered collectibles—suggests an open-world experience. But it isn't. Instead, you’re confined to a linear path, restricted by level design and forced vehicle choices. Yes, there is a separate free roam mode, but it feels like an afterthought. An open-world structure would’ve allowed players to explore at their own pace, pursue side content, and immerse themselves more fully in the world. Instead, the game feels like it’s actively holding you back.

Final Thoughts
Mafia: Old Country had the foundation to be something truly special—gorgeous visuals, a rich setting, and cinematic presentation—but it ultimately collapses under the weight of a poorly written story, shallow gameplay, and missed opportunities. As a longtime fan, this entry left me feeling disappointed and unlikely to return.

I prefer CS2 and Valorant over this.
FragPunk is fun, but I've only been getting into bot lobbies and it loses it's appeal quite quickly when there is 0 competition in the lobby.

During the half price sale (Less than $10USD), you really can't go wrong adding this game to your wishlist or cart.

Suits for Hire takes heavy inspiration from games like Max Payne and The Hong Kong Massacre, while it doesn't necessarily improve on the gameplay, graphics, or story either of those games have - the combination of ideas, mixed with character creation gives a very close feel to John Wick.

After a couple hours of playtime in the game (will definitely continue playing till completion), there are some changes and recommendations I would make:
- Fix the map pinpoint for SYDNEY in the mission select (The blue pin has been put in Western Australia).
- Add more outfits and character creation options, the current selection is plainly suits - It would be nice to have some more comedic outfits, like what Hitman does... Add some clown outfits and comedic outfits locked behind hard challenges - for veteran players to grind for.
- Separate the colour wheel for Hair and Facial Hair (You currently cant have a different beard colour to hair colour).
- Add more weapons

A little disappointing and repetitive.
Spider-man: Miles Morales and Spider-man Remastered are much better value for money.
Would only recommend buying this game if it dropped to $40AUD or less.

Don't expect amazing an amazing story or great gameplay, this game is just eye candy with satisfying traversal.

Finished the game on PS5 prior to purchasing on Steam ($7.50).

Rating: 7/10 (Average)

Pros:
- The story is decent and does Batman justice in the beginning cutscene.
- The map design and atmosphere is good (not as good as Arkham Knight though).
- The characters are represented well - Nightwing, Barbara, Alfred and Batman are portrayed accurately and I could picture this game being part of the Arkhamverse.

Cons:
- The combat and traversal is pretty bad. Suicide Squad, despite being a worse game has much more fluid movement, traversal and combat (especially playing as Deathstroke in Season 4).
- The RPG elements aren't great and the UI in the menu is very cluttered and looks like a mobile game.
- Red Hood being fully non-lethal using rubber bullets in the game. The charm of Red Hood being an outcast in the Bat-Family and his willingness to kill that sets him apart from the others is one of my favourite traits regarding his character, which this game removed, making him one of the worst and least interesting characters out of the 4 playables.

If you are doing a playthrough of the Arkham Franchise I would recommend adding this game to the playthrough instead of Suicide Squad.

Campaign: 8/10
Zombies: 8/10
Multiplayer: 7/10
Overall (8/10)

The Campaign - It is not as good as Cold War.
The story implemented missions with a similar layout to Control (2019) and Atomic Heart (2023). It also has some open world missions that have been perfected compared to the lackluster ones from Modern Warfare III (2023). Overall every mission was entertaining and the campaign lasted around 7 hours.

The Zombies -
At the time of writing this review, Zombies has 2 maps (Liberty Falls and Terminus).
Terminus is the better of the maps, with a very dark tone and is reminiscent of Black Ops 1, with maps like Call of The Dead.
Liberty Falls is more open and is beginner friendly, I can't think of any prior zombies map it reminds me of.

The Multiplayer - The weakest part of the game (but still good).
The maps are the main issue. Vorkuta, Vault, Derelict and Payback are my least favourite, with pretty much every map being riddled with visibility issues (realistic lighting) and head glitches.
Nuketown, Babylon, Subsonic and Skyline, warhead and stakeout are really enjoyable maps.

COD HQ is also really terrible.

Pretty entertaining.

Pros:
Shooting mechanics are good.
Visually and graphically nice.
The idea and gameplay is fairly unique, and feels like an indie game made with love.

Cons:
Doesn't work perfectly with 32:9 monitors.
Jumping platform to platform feels very weird (might be better with controller).

I would recommend buying, it's reasonably priced and quite entertaining.

6/10

Works well with a 32:9 monitor, and so far has run smoothly (except for 1 crash after leaving Coruscant).
Completed the game on release day using a PS5 and the experience on PC seems pretty similar so far.
Worth buying on sale ($30USD) if you have a high end PC, otherwise I would recommend playing this game on a console instead.

CONS:
- Some visual issues with Cal's hair during cut scenes.
- Prone to crashes.
- EA Launcher/App.
- Common issues with poor performance and stuttering.

PROS:
- More customisation (outfits, haircuts...)
- Visually a beautiful game (Map design, environment)
- Cameron Monaghan.
