This game seems like a very good substitute to Pokemon right out the gate.

The designs and aesthetic is great, and the combat is much more interesting. Inevitably a meta is going to evolve, but I'm hoping that the lack of PP and the implementation of stamina will allow for some more interesting turns in combat.

Yes, it sucks having to wait to log in, but its day one. An earlier patch has already made entering and staying in the game much smoother, so I have good faith that before long, the wait times will be something in the past.
