I guess to be as specific as possible (once again sorry for the back to back posts, there was a character limit), I'm wondering about this:
"#4 Visual C++ error Fix
The error is usually related to the redist package installed on your computer or may be due to directx. I will recommend that you do a fresh install of these tools to make the error go away."
What does this mean exactly? What would I be reinstalling?

Sorry for the longwinded and some probably unnecessary paragraphs there, just wanted to be as detailed as I could be. I know I'm just some stranger on the internet but I'd reeeeally appreciate any help I could get :(

I've tried little things like making sure the game folder was completely gone after the uninstall, uninstalling the Redistributables thing I had just downloaded (that was wonky but I don't think I did lasting damage to my games, they appeared in the Downloads queue needing to be updated but they didn't actually need anything, they all launched fine afterwards). MK:KE still won't launch.


I do think it was the Redist Package I downloaded, that was the moment that it just wouldn't launch for me. I do have Visual Studio 2019 on this computer, dunno if that's relevant.

The game was working for me last night, but this morning upon launch I actually decided to give the steam client administrative permission to install the Microsoft VC Redist Package (it referred to this as "performing first time setup" even though I had opened an played the game the night before), now the game won't launch even after a uninstall.
