I'm obliged to use Talespire for work, but I absolutely despise it. It is overpriced, under-featured, and extremely difficult to work with- core features that you would expect to use in any Dungeons and Dragons game are missing. It is difficult to use this program without every single applicant paying more than 35 dollars to use something that has been EA for three years.

I would strongly recommend anyone instead use Owlbear, Roll20, or any other digital tabletop alternative than Talespire.

I saw the trailer and immediately had to purchase it- it's amazing to see a game that focuses on 3d movement finally getting made, as it really scratches an underutilised niche at the moment. If I could give some points of critique:

-The hardest enemy you will fight in the game happens at the very beginning of the game. While i'm glad there isn't really any big battles after it (Spark the Electric Jester 3 kinda fell into that trap, and combat is better as just a brief breakup from the platforming rather than a full, indepth system in Psuedoregalia), it kinda puts a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ roadblock right at the start of the game.

-Towards the end of the game, it's very easy to require a specific powerup to keep continuing with the game (i.e the Wall Cling ability), but have no idea where to go to. While wandering about the environment aimlessly is kind of the appeal of the game, something like a Sonic Adventure 1 hint orb or an Okami fortune telling NPC might be helpful- just a vague hint like "go to the theatre to get the next powerup" would go a long way.

-The "projectile" powerup is very frustrating to use, especially on an analog stick or a Steam Deck. While it can be aimed in first person, there's no indication on how to enter first person mode, and there's no crosshair to compensate for the (often very finnicky) aiming controls, especially with precise shots. Plus, it automatically using up a power bar chunk is very frustrating, if you wanted to save that chunk for healing later.

Other than that, the game is fantastic! I'm very eager to see if it ever gets an expansion or a sequel- another adventure with this control scheme and character would be fantastic for me.

Only Halo Reach (one of the five games advertised) is available to play and download currently. This is not disclosed anywhere on the storepage, which actively advertises the complete opposite of this. You could buy Halo Reach alone for $20, or spend an extra $40 on the promise that the developers MIGHT finish the rest of the advertised content.

I don't understand how it is acceptable to advertise a product and deliver something completely different. This isn't Halo MCC, this is just one game out of five, and they have done absolutely nothing to show that.

A game with a lot of heavy flaws that runs out of steam towards the end. Still, a fun and unique experience, with likable characters, great worldbuilding, a fantastic artstyle and sound design, all presenting a fun and unique gameplay loop.

It's getting patched over time, which will hopefully change a lot of the problems I had with the game's later quarter.

A fantastic speed-based platformer, where the character has a deep moveset (borrowing heavily from Mirrors Edge or Lemma, but with the unique mix of a Vanquish-styled "boost" bar, which governs double jumps, dashes, or extending wall rides) that interacts in a unique and fun way with the well-designed environments.

If you like games like Sonic Generations, you'll enjoy this game.

A fantastic, if overrated game. It's certainly not the "best game ever" or anything, despite what the cult following would say; but still, it's a solid adventure game in the veins of Okami, the Legend of Zelda or Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. Definately worth a try if you either enjoy Zelda-style adventures, or haven't gotten sick of them yet.

However, this PC port is very old, very outdated, and has extreme difficulties running on modern hardware; errors such as forced 4:3, abysmal framerates, and constantly flickering textures and massive letterboxing making the game feel unplayably poor.

Available for free on Uplay, so not really worth purchasing here. Try either that, or the HD collection on 360/PS3.

An excellent game. Outclassed almost entirely by Epic Battle Fantasy 4, but it's completely free; no microtransactions or ads in sight.

An excellent game that runs suprisingly well for Flash, has good enemy design and custom difficulty settings. Can appeal to beginners and veterans of the genre.

This game can be very easily modded to contain levels from previous Sonic Games, most notably ALL of Sonic Unleashed, but also smaller ports like re-imagined Sonic Adventure 1/2, 06, and Heroes (so that the levels don't suck ♥♥♥♥)

The asking price is frankly pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ silly from SEGA, but it's still a great game that's worth the money.
