The game eats my whole ass pc when i try to run it. I really want to play this game but EA is an abysmal company that makes it literally impossible. (note, when i say that it eats my pc i mean that it removes all audio and my pc runs at 1 frame per whenever.) I really want to play and enjoy the game so if anyone knows how to gut the EA ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and let me just play titanfall 2 then i will grant you three gloobcoin from your own wallet.

Peak game, Worth the wait in every regard.
The movement is a step up from hollow knight feeling FAR more responsive. (especially with the wall clings thank goodness) The only thing I can say that's bad about this game is how often enemies deal two masks of damage, even though healing is far stronger you're effectively spending a full soul container on three masks which only lasts a hit and a half in most fights. Other than that I'm loving the more acrobatic gameplay that feels super cinematic when pulled off right and pretty easy to learn after I unwired my brain from being knightpilled.

Best piece of advice I can give is to say that Hornet is not the Knight, in Silksong you can't just slap on quickslash and mark of pride to destroy most fights or equip hiveblood to tank more hits than you have any right to. With Hornet you need to be locked tf in when dodging while dashing in and out of enemy range to avoid getting thrashed. (note how I said dashing IN, that is the hardest part to learn with Hornet's dash having variable distances based on how long you push the button)

Bit of a warning, the game is very hard (at least to me), keep looking for benches to keep runbacks short. Or just spend 8 hours grinding the same few spawns to recover your lost riches

I really want to give a good review but honestly I can't. I normally love parry mechanics but the way it was implemented here is subpar. For one the perfect parry window could be a little more forgiving, and for two it feels as though getting a non perfect parry is extremely punishing. Other than that I rather enjoy it as I do all parries. Other than that the platforming leaves some to be desired and can be rather frustrating at times.

To give the game credit those are my only real gripes with the gameplay.

All of the gameplay issues could be more than forgiven if it weren't for the story being almost absent aside from random flashbacks. Compounded with the extremely fast start where you just get thrown in with little time to really understand what is happening it feels rather rushed and thrown out there. The only real part I cared for was the interactions between Yi and Shuanshuan as they were nice.

Overall it's a decent game but the unfair balancing and lacking story really does it for me. Ultimately if you want to play games in this genre I'd recommend hollow knight for gameplay and both Ori games for story.

Never really played paper mario or thousand year door so i came into this with limited experience and BOY HOWDY this was a blast

The characters are individuals that both feel real and also grow
The music is baller
The story is amazing
Game is challenging but fair (i played on hardmode and it was ballbusting at points but still really fun)
Could go on but am writing this while also not being very awake and not having YET 100%ed the game. Gonna happen soon enough though.

Edit: Got 100%, love this game and wish it wasn't so unheard of

The game has a wonderful frame and premise but the execution is botched.

My primary issue is with the procedural generation, which is an amazing idea on paper, allowing for endless cases to solve. However the implementation is terrible, leading to many hours of generating cities to find one that isn't broken. Several times I've had cases that lack crucial evidence, such as but not limited to the tutorial case just not spawning the murder weapon. (and yes I did search the murderer)
