The game is decent but the bosses in this game are incredibly annoying and not fun.

EX: My entire build is built off of gaining extra value to my dice, I get to the 2nd boss and it's entire core mechanic is making extra value negative so now the run is ruined.

This happens often, you build something specific and then the 2nd boss or 3rd boss is built to counter it. Another example is my dice being primarily built on having dice with more than 6 faces. Then all of the sudden the next boss negates any dice with more than 6 faces.

Pretty good for early access, the minigames are enjoyable. At it's current state it is fun so I expect an even better game upon release.

It's fun in the moment but it's one of those games where I had to slog through it at the end trying to complete it and i didn't even end up doing that.

You will get what you paid for in hours if you play with friends but it's a game I won't be picking up again in the future.

I say just go play on a different region with a translator mod. We’re barely a few weeks in and they’re already treating us horribly on Global. It does take a small amount of time but it isn’t too hard to catchup and would be worthwhile to swap to Taiwan servers.

In one day i’m almost already level 40, they provide a free 5 star of your choice which includes Joker, and then boost your rewards/exp immensely so you aren’t too far behind. Please swap and stop spending your money on global until they do better.

6/10 for an initial impression but keep in mind this is just my opinion for someone who played through the first dungeon and explored the 2nd island.

I enjoy a lot of survival games, it's the one genre I will always give a try. I think Len's Island has potential and could be better but it just doesn't really feel good/fun.

Here are my general issues with the game:

1. Gathering doesn't feel enjoyable, they have a crit system where if you time your attack correctly you can deal more damage but it feels boring. Games like Grounded, Rust, Palworld have unique systems to make gathering more interesting and while you can upgrade your gear and level up skills to make gathering faster it still falls flat.

2. The questing system should be a bit more intuitive and also more rewarding. For example you have to eventually go to a mine, but not any mine it has to specifically be in Bridgewater. In this instance you would normally put a marker that it's in the main town area or you would allow the quest to be completed by entering the mine from other areas but no it has to be bridgewater. Then you have to mine iron shards, but there's little to no iron and if you're playing with friends you're stuck waiting for it to regenerate in order to continue the quests.

3. Combat feels like an afterthought. Once you've added an anvil, you can start to create new weapons or upgrade your current knife/sword. It will then unlock a skill which can be used every few seconds, the skills itself are fairly bland and the combat feels extremely boring for a game that has dungeons as a main mechanic of the game.

4. Game direction is simple but extremely boring. You're just unlocking the area and then gathering resources so you can go to the next area. This is a core of a survival game so it's expected, the issue is that it's extremely boring. Exploring doesn't reward you, gathering doesn't feel fun. You're making small incremental upgrades that aren't exciting at all even unlocking upgrades for the town doesn't really feel that rewarding.


Now here are some quick cons for me:

- Building feels bad, with the way that the camera works it ends up being a bit more frustrating than it should be.
- The dog just randomly appears and you aren't really sure what it does until it picks up your item. It should have had a bigger appearance or better way to actually unlock it to make it more exciting to unlock pets in the first place.
- Eating food has to be done through the inventory tab, during combat this feels bad and should have had a dedicated spot to put food in like valheim.
- Multiplayer quests and backpack upgrades not being shared sucks but it's not the worst
- Finishing the dungeon should have allowed for separate loot, instead whoever opens it first and happens to be next to it gets it all which makes it extremely unrewarding
- The raft not allowing for multiple people to sit is weird, you can jump on it or waste resources on making multiple.
- Fishing is alright but not that enjoyable, similar crit system to the combat.
- The camera should allow you to pan out further
- Resources should either be more abundant or caves or regenerate faster
- Dungeons are really boring, even the rewards were really unsatisfying.

Final thoughts are that the game has potential but there is nothing that it excels in and it doesn't make you feel compelled to play more. It could honestly be far more fun in the end game or enjoyable later, but I have no reason to slug through the content when this is the first impression of the game. Give it some time to cook I think but it's not worth the price point. This game should be priced more around $10 - $15 USD. It's not worth the price at it's current state even on sale.

Great Game - You should play blind

Abiotic Factor is a well put together game, it has a fun theme of being stuck in a lab with monsters and trying to survive. It's a lot different from your usual survive outside in the wild game.

The core mechanics of the game is good, a lot of the things make sense from electricity, weapons, traps, tools. Everything can easily be put together without having to look into a wiki. The game itself doesn't hold your hand but it's not too difficult that it needs to. Progression is locked by story content, you will have to build and go to certain areas to progress.

If you're a loot goblin, this game will be for you. Literally everything has a use, there's not one thing that isn't needed. There is certain debuffs you get throughout the game, such as being filthy, needing to go to the bathroom, or being tired and needing to sleep. In most games, this can be an annoying mechanic but in Abiotic Factor they're not as a nuisance and can be actually really funny in certain scenarios if you're playing with friends. You'll have starting points to make your character similar to project zomboid which adds an extra slice of fun to your character.

I highly recommend playing Abiotic Factor especially blind, there's just so many fun moments you'll have by not sifting through a wiki. This is the first game where I really tried not to look for answers, the game is very logical. I'm excited for 1.0 release, even in EA you'll get a ton of content so try it out and support the creators.

i played this so long ago but man was it an amazing game. It's sad to see it died off after Stunlock's failure of an attempt with making a Battle Royale version of this game that costed $20.

I personally believe that this game could've been more than great, it could've been one of the best PVP games out there with it's own league and competitions but sadly it will never come to fruition.

RIP you will always remain the one game that stays in my head where I constantly think what if?

Multiplayer buggy unfortunately, also movement key cannot be rebinded from Left Click to Right Click.

Might be a minor issue to people but this is something that is unfortunately a deal breaker for me.

If you're in America it's worth the price.

2K Crystals alone are the cost of this bundle. The Mats, Skin, Mount, Pet, make it well worth the price for those looking to get up.
