Go to discord and submit a ticket, if you haven't done that already.

What was your screen name back then? I'm not finding "Akira" in the current records.

I don't think I can directly reply to your comment on my review without prompting you, so I wanted to give my thanks for your lovely comments here!

I checked the preferences.xml file and it shows "currentRealm" is "na" and "active_server" is "WOWS NA".

Yes, this has been going on for quite some time now. I have not seen anything from Customer Support. I was playing World of Warships and experienced a critical error. I hope the error report was transmitted automatically, because I was unable to obtain any information from the message before it disappeared from my screen.

That would be great if Customer Support could change my nickname on the Wargaming account. That account shows my real name.
Ryuu 2018 年 4 月 25 日 上午 1:05
Looks like you're having trouble for some time already, apologies for that :(

I don't have access to support tools, but can take a look and maybe tell what to do or at least what to request from Customer Support.
Ryuu 2018 年 4 月 25 日 上午 1:01
Hi, do you still need help with World of Warships accounts? Has Customer Support responded and helped?
And BTW they can help you to change nickname for free if it contains your real name by mistake.
IDMooseMan 2017 年 11 月 19 日 下午 4:25
You are quite welcome. I am glad I could help. I have the same name on SubSim, so feel free to use me as a referral. Not sure if I accumulate "points" or anything, but I think they like to track that kind of stuff.

I don't think I will ever master this game, but it sure is fun to play. I haven't started a campaign, yet. The crew at SubSim say the 1984 campaign is the "easiest" to start with, for a new player. I plan to start with that one, when I am ready to begin a campaign. Hope to see you on the site.

Wow! I'm only 35, so I was a bit young, but my first computer was a Commodore 64. It was passed down to me from my dad in the early '90s when he got his first Windows PC. I'll never forget that thing. I could spend hours playing the original Flight Simulator, or "Raid on Bungeling Bay" (which I found out only recently was Will Wright's predecessor to SimCity). In fact, one of the games I enjoyed a lot was a submarine game. A little arcadey side-scroller called "Sea Wolf".

Sadly, the C64 was sold after I returned it to my dad when I got my first Windows system and he sold it to a friend of his. Wish I had the foresight to keep it. I never thought it would hold such sentimental value to me.

Thanks again for all the info. I'll be visiting the SubSim website for more suggestions. I have been putting the hours into Cold Waters -- I think I will enjoy this forever. I am still so far from mastering it.
IDMooseMan 2017 年 11 月 19 日 下午 1:21
I should also mention that the SubSim site has a discord channel, too.

Part 2 of 2:
Thank you for the info on ATS. I had not thought of trying it with a controller. I have an Xbox One "Recon Tech" model that is absolutely fantastic with "Rocket League". I may have to give it a try with ATS.

I hear you on the space issue. I am using the desk that my youngest used when she was in middle school, (she graduated college recently), and it barely has room for my monitors, let alone my HOTAS, microphone, speakers, and other accessories.

When my oldest finishes her teaching internship, graduates, and moves out, I will use her room as my hobby/gaming/streaming room. I will most likely build a desk to accommodate my needs. I am in no rush, so I can take my time and build it slowly, due to my disabilities.
IDMooseMan 2017 年 11 月 19 日 下午 1:07
Part 1 of 2:
I do not have direct experience with "Atlantic Fleet" or "Dangerous Waters", but I hear good things about them from the gang on the SubSim forums. The older "Silent Service" series was fun. You might want to look at those, too, just as a comparison.

When I first started gaming, I was a Commodore, (VIC-20, C64 and all of its variants, and Amiga 500), gamer. There are a lot of sub sims and flight sims from that platform that I would love to see on PC platform, but today's graphics and programming capabiliities blows those games out of the water, (pun intended).

The best suggestion/recommnedation I can give you regarding other games is, visit the SubSim forums and read through the different game threads. There is a wealth of information on that site.
MrMarouka 2017 年 11 月 19 日 上午 5:11
Sorry, had to break this up into two posts. Steam won't allow over 1000 characters per comment.

In regards to American Truck Sim -- Unfortunately I cannot make a good recommendation for a wheel/pedal/shifter -- I don't use one either. I have found that an X-Box controller is a really good alternative. I have an 'aftermarket' Fusion PowerA, which only cost me about $40. It has fantastic sensitivity and is a much better alternative to using keyboard and mouse. I would absolutely love to have a full setup with wheel and pedal, but I just don't have a large enough space to accomodate all of that gear.

Can you make any other sub game recommendations? I have played a couple of the Silent Hunter games. I may need to dust them off and give them another try. My favorite was Silent Hunter III due to its non-linear gameplay and ability to manage the crew. I have Silent Hunter 5, but haven't spent much time on it. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.
MrMarouka 2017 年 11 月 19 日 上午 4:59
Once again, I need to thank you for your review. I was hesitant about buying Cold Waters, but after less than two days I've already 'sunk' seven hours into it. It is HARD, but it keeps me coming back. With each failure, I feel compelled to try again. And again. And again.... This game is unforgiving and I love it for that.

Games like this always tend to direct my interests. With War Thunder, I became obsessed with World War 2 aircraft. When I played Silent Hunter, I wanted to know more about U-Boats. Now I am absolutely fascinated by modern submarines and sub warfare. I have a newfound respect for servicemembers of all nations who crew submarines. I visited the USS Albacore in Portsmouth, NH some years ago and was able to go inside for a tour. I can't imagine the anxiety of being in one of those things during combat. And if the sub is sunk; man, what a way to go.

I forgot to mention, I have made a few test streams playing "Cold Waters" on my Twitch channel. No audio most of the time due to family sleeping when I made them. Check them out and let me know what you think. My internet upload speed, (0.9 Mbps), is really insufficient for live-streaming. I starting to record my gaming, and then upload the video to my channel. I have the same name on Twitch as I do here.

Thank you for your service, MAROUKA. I am honored that you made a purchase based on my review. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. If I do not know the answer, I will most likely suggest you try SubSim.com , they are the ones who made the game, and can provide much more detailed information than I can.

I see you are playing ATS, as well. I am looking for a good steering wheel/pedal/shifter assembly. With my hand spasms/cramps, the keyboard/mouse routine is "interesting" to say the least. In ATS, I have already sideswiped a law enforcement vehicle, and that was on a short haul.
MrMarouka 2017 年 11 月 16 日 下午 3:18
Saw your review for Cold Waters and decided that I will buy it. Army veteran here ('07 to '13)... Always happy to meet another fellow vet in the gaming community.

Thank you for your service. No, I have not been to Korea. I have been to Ramstein many, many times. My squadron pulled a long-term TDY there while our (Zweibrucken) flightline was being repaired. The TDY actually worked out well for me. My brother was stationed at Ramstein, and we were able to visit quite a lot.
Joli Rouge 2017 年 11 月 11 日 上午 1:00
I'm sure you been to Ramstien? That place is the life.
The Real Question is, Have you been to Korea? Going to Korea as a Civilian would be amazing. But being in the MIlitary it sucked completely.
IDMooseMan 2017 年 11 月 10 日 下午 5:00
I worked the flightline in Germany (Zweibruken Air Base). Not sure how much of a "good life" it was, but when I did go off-duty, I shared a room, but it was only two to a room.
Joli Rouge 2017 年 11 月 10 日 下午 4:36
Every time I go to an Airforce Base I cry a little bit knowing I could of had the good life.
