This game ditches some of the original aspects of the first game such as modes (Katana-Only etc.) and endless but contributes much heavier into the level's for the game.
It adds some new weapons and weapon types such as shurikens and knives which are really enjoyable to use

One of the major aspects of this game is that in the areas which contain small levels there are 'hacks' which give you buffs such as Grenade which makes any projectile (not including thrown weapons) explode into bullets on impact! Another thing changed in this game compared to the original is the addition of lives or hearts which allow you to take hits but not die, these are continuous through the areas so unlike it sounds at first it doesn't make the game much easier as you'll be using these lives up as you get your bullets blocked by Red Dudes with katanas or other sources.
I found this game to be very enjoyable and I can see lots of replay-ability in it!

Great game, worth buying.
