Bulletpoint Thoughts
- "A Final Fantasy for Fans and First Timers" with leanings toward the first timers.
- Play with the Japanese Dub. It hits very different, in the best kind of way.
- It's got soul and character. For me, that makes up for the lack of nuance in gameplay.
- Thank goodness we got the Royal Edition vs a port of the original console edition
- Be sure to save often as the dangers of a random crash were not uncommon, at least for me.
- Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would, so definitely give it a go!

DLC Thoughts and Suggestions
Should you play?
With the exception of Comrades, which is a pretty big time commitment and not entirely core to the main story itself, yes.

When I would recommend starting the DLC's + My Lengths:
- Episode Gladio: During Brave New World at Chapter 8. Before getting to where you need to go, in main game, stop and save at a campfire, then exit to play the DLC, trust me. Finished around 1 hr 30 min.

- Episode Prompto: Immediately after post-regroup, post-Keep quest in Chapter 13. I'd say around 2 hours.

- Episode Ignis: Don't even bother until post-game. Massive, and I mean MASSIVE, end-game spoilers. I completed all the arcs also around 2 hrs.

- Comrades: Immediately after End of Chapter 13. Don't go into Chapter 14. It makes more sense, chronologically. This felt like a whole game unto itself. Plugged in more time than I should have. 30+ hours overall. But you can get to the first ending a lot sooner. Tips: Levels matter more than you think they do, especially if you go solo (which I did). Upgrade those sweet weapons and fill up those empty bars in certain weapons to get a boost! Stats are the most important for you yourself. But please level up, since your AI sure as heck won't put time into theirs otherwise.

- (If you get it, I'd recommend it personally) Episode Ardyn: Also definitely post-game. Under 2 hours.


Visual Content Outside of Game
- Kingsglaive Movie: Pretty much a string of cutscenes. But pretty to watch and gives insight. Watch after the end of Chapter 1. Length: 1hr 50min.

- Brotherhood FFXV Anime: More backstory behind and insight into the gents. Watch during Brave New World of Chapter 8, before getting to where you need to go. Four episodes varying from 11 to 17 minutes.

- Episode Ardyn Prologue Anime: Watch before playing episode Ardyn, as the title suggests. Just one 13 min episode.
