A side note, I came to this game after playing a lot of beat saber so my view of the game is colored by another.

Quick answer: A really great game for a more upper body workout. Still needs more work at this time but even as is, worth the cost in my book. Custom songs adds the extra spice a game like this requires.

Gameplay
-Mostly intuitive on how it works. There is no real tutorial at this time.
-Various different ways and modifiers to change up the game a bit, just in case you get bored
-Higher difficulty requires a lot of upper body motion
-Limited selection of style of music, but a decent count of songs
-Varied difficulty settings to keep things interesting.
Note here. I really like high skill play and the standard game is lacking in this area. However even the easier stuff is still fun.
-Avatars are supported and included to add to that immersion and and something for the spectators to look at while you play.

Maps
-Not all of them have a full fleshed out range of difficulty settings.
-As the name suggest, most songs are synth music, the quality of music picked is good though.
-Background can be static or moving, also different selection of backgrounds that are varied from each other. You get to pick which background each time you play so they are not connected to any songs.
-Enough maps to last anyone long enough to get decent at the game without getting boring

Modding
-The game does support modding and there is already a growing community of modders that has added custom maps to the game. With the help of a community provided program, managing custom maps is super easy and pain free. The game even allows you to refresh the list instead of having to exit out every time. Just like songs, custom avatars are easy to upload.

Beat Saber?
-While this game does share a lot genre wise with beat saber, this is enough of a difference that i don't feel like I am playing a beat saber clone. I have heard many people who play synth riders say they like it over beat saber due to beat saber hurting their wrists and Synth riders does not. the community feels more relaxed and less competitive then beat saber right now.
