This was a very-enjoyable lighter soulslike game with a few Metroidvania elements. While not as challenging as most soulslikes, it's still really fun and provides a unique combat gameplay. It has a pretty cool world.

The shell and adaption mechanics allow for a large degree of freedom while also keeping inventory management simple.

A really good exploration game with soulslike elements. This game is has a really cool interconnected world that's quite unique among soulslike games. It reminds me a bit like the Blame! manga.

The combat is clearly not the focus of the game, so don't expect a game full of soulslike combat. You get experience for exploration.

If it weren't for Ubisoft's DRM that constantly borks the game, this would be a great 10/10 game that's very fun and very challenging.

The exploration is top notch. The level design is gorgeous. The platforming is extremely challenging and on-par with the harder parts of Hollow Knight and Silksong. The combat is fairly easy for a Metroidvania at the default difficulty, so you might want to increase the difficulty one step higher.

But due to Ubisoft's trash always-on DRM, it's a 8/10 game.

This game has so many launch issues due to Ubisoft Connect. I am constantly unable to play this because Ubisoft Connect is unreliable and buggy. Why do I need to be constantly connected in order to play a single-player game? This is ridiculous.

I, among many others in the Steam forums, constantly have trouble launching this game. I keep hitting this bug:

Unable to start the game. This product cannot be activated right now, please try again later.

I also often get save-state errors.

Thank you, Ubisoft DRM trash. I'm sure this game will break permanently the moment Ubisoft changes their launcher client 10 years from now.

It's just like Hollow Knight, but twice as hard in both combat and platforming. It's almost as hard as Nine Sols for combat, but much harder for platforming.

It's a great Soulsvania as long as you're fine with soulslike difficulty and long runbacks. I still think Nine Sols is a better game when it comes to combat.

Overall, it's still an extremely strong, 10/10 game.

This was a cute and funny short, isometric Metroidvania/Zeldalike. Solid 8/10.

It's about 10 hours long (excluding optional post-game content). It's difficult, but not as difficult as Hollow Knight. Overall, it was quite enjoyable.

Difficulty: Starts out harder than most souls games, but gets a lot easier as the game goes on. It's also pretty easy to accidentally over-level if you're doing all the side quests.

Nioh 2 is a mix between a Soulslike and a Combat Action Game. It's basically a soulslike with a lot faster combat and a huge variety of weapon abilities that far exceed the combat depths of any Dark Souls game. The combat is just really fun, but there is a HUGE learning curve at the start of the game for the first 10 hours.

The only part I didn't like was the Diablo-like loot system. And the mission can get a bit repetitive if you replay them multiple times. I really wish they made a better equipment system that didn't take so much work to micromanage.

This is really bad compared to the first Jedi Fallen Order. There's way too much RANDOM JUNK and COSMETIC JUNK in this game.

Nearly all exploration is for getting useless cosmetic items for the lightsaber, droid, hairstyle, and clothing. And the seeds collected in the game do nothing useful. It's random junk.

There's very little ability-gating for a Metroidvania since your player starts with all abilities from the previous game. It's just not enjoyable.

Combat was quite enjoyable, but there too many boss fight interruptions with cutscenes and quick-time events. It was so annoying. I just wanted to fight without being interrupted every 10 seconds.

The story was pretty good until the forced ending. It made very little sense. The ending was so disappointing, just like the rest of the game.

I hate that Steam doesn't allow for neutral ratings.

I've played so many soulslikes and Metroidvanias, and this is a 7/10 souls game. The combat and boss fights are excellent. I like the difficulty slider, jukebox, artwork, and boss memories. It's a very-polished game.

The instant-deflection-heavy combat is amazing and just as fun as Sekiro's and Nioh 2's combat. That already makes the boss fights more fun than Dark Souls-like boss fights.

But the most important part--the exploration--is so linear and basic. It's so easy and corridor-like that it's practically not a soulslike game. Dark Souls 1 had such good and challenging level design and exploration, and that element is missing from LoP.

The level design in LoP is so corridor-like that it doesn't allow for any freedom of thought. I'm just moving from one enemy to the next. If it weren't for this vital element missing, I'd definitely give the game a 10/10.

Easily my favorite soulslike after DS3 and Bloodborne. I love the class change system feature 30+ switchable classes. Doesn't force the player into a single build for the entire game.

For a souls game, it's fun and not frustrating.

This mod extension for Terraria is so useful that it's practically necessary for enjoying Terraria.

I so wish I knew about this extension right when I started playing Terraria.
