I just finished and I honestly loved the game. It reminded me of Dear Ester in atmosphere and a sense of exploration. The compass was awkward at first but you can used to it pretty quickly. A quick google search will tell you that the red part points north while black points south. The landscape was interesting and beautiful. There may have been lots of negative reviews because they were not expecting it to be the kind of game it was. But for what it was, a horror, walking simulator, exploration type game, it was done very well. I experienced no difficulties reaching the end, after an enjoyable time playing through an interesting story. I'm happy I went ahead and played it despite the mixed reception.
