Upon further investigation, I was wrong. It does indeed sit in your inventory when purchased through the Points Shop, but it cannot be deleted, traded or otherwise removed in any way.

No problem! The olive color background is tied to a Special Profile Item that will sit in your inventory. So if you do lose that (I'm not sure how though?) you would indeed lose the option to.

In order to give your profile an olive background, you need to get the Half Life: Alyx Special Profile. You can still change everything while using this profile, but you get the olive background. Hope this helps!
