A great immersive rpg with a lot of charcter, authenticity and brings a lot of new features to the genre.

60$ single player game with a pay to win lootbox gambling system, looks worse than shadow of Mordor, huge retconning of Tolkien's work in multiple ascpects, almost zero story to the campaign ( Sauron bad, lets take forts ) and the side story ( you help an inexplicably placed black captain of the gondorian gaurd on his love quest to win over an empowered white women general as they wander around mordor doing absolutely nothing of value ), is a straight out of womens studies to head writer tier lotr fanfiction. The new castle managment feature is just boiled down to a mobile game system of management through buying crates.

Loved the first game but this one is pure cancer.

The game is mildly entertaining at first if you can look past all the bugs but degrades into a boring mmo grind like experience. Its a typical ubisoft open world game just like farcry, there is literally no variety in the zones or missions. Every zone breaks down into finding 4 pieces of intel on the map which opens up 4 subsequent missions which then unlocks the "boss" of the zone. Every one of these missions is exactly the same ( take pics of documents, kill a person or escort or tail a person) so it becomes a chore by mid game and by late game you will have done these same things around 90 times plus with the same enemy models, voice actors and a terrible difficulty scale.

Bottom line the game is a incredbily sloppy buggy mess that for an open world feels on rails.
