This game is actually quite fun- my last review said it was bad but since then I have been awakened to the ability to get massive numbers

Very fun and enjoyable game.
Very inspired by Dead Space and The Last of Us, and I am here for it. Personally I completed New Game on Medium difficulty in ~10 hours spread over 2 sittings.

Firstly, I'll repeat what other reviewers have said. Yes the combat is a bit clunky especially when you are dealing with a tight group of multiple enemies, that gets overwhelming very quickly. I will note though it did feel smooth most of the time, with there only being a couple sticking points throughout the campaign.

Story is fine. Nothing to write home about. It kept me engaged for the duration of the campaign. The story companions do their job, however I didn't really feel much attachment to any of them.
Side note: personally I loved the story points regarding the past civilisation, leading to some distinct time period design palettes in the later sections of the game. Gives me portal 2-esque vibes.

Regarding graphics, it is simply amazing. Facial animations and setting are expertly done. At time of review I am running an AMD R7 9800X3D, 32GB DDR5 RAM, RX 7800 XTX, with the game installed onto an NVMe drive. I had no issue with performance at all. It stuck fircely to the frame cap with minimal stuttering or bugs.
The movable blue boxes are bugged. For them to work correctly, you must have a frame cap of 120 or less. Anything higher and they bug out, meaning you cannot move them, or they will just rotate about your centre axis.

Overall, I'd give this game a good 7.5/10.

Never played a DS game before, and so 1 hour into my first delve into said game franchise I'm absolutely loving this.
The gore is awesome and the performance is incredible. As it uses your flavour of AI upscaling (DLSS or AMD FFX), performance is super smooth on an RTX 3060.
Haters be hatin', but this is an absolute banger. Well worth the pre-order imo. Hope to enjoy what else this game has to offer!

PvP is awful and needs re-balancing, but the main gameplay loops are addictive and enjoyable. The amount of content you can play is large and covers many different play styles, however having a faction that can effectively see where you are on the map at all times feels a tad overpowered.
