If you like portal it is a necessity that you play this game! I loved portal one and two but honestly, I feel that the puzzles in this mod are the most rewarding yet. I'm currently stuck on chapter 18 but I'm so happy I discovered this.

This game isn't ready yet. I'm sure it will be great after a couple more months of development. If you're unsure if your system meets the requirements, don't bother looking at the ones below. I don't have an amazing pc but I should be able to play in low settings at 60 fps. For the whole 2 hours I played fps never went over 50 and that's a deal breaker for me. Also I couldn't find a way to disable mouse acceleration. Hopefully as well as ironing out the many bugs, cdpr also optimizes the game further.

The parkour is the best part of this game,everything else however is sub-par. The combat and story is pretty meh. Might be worth getting on sale.

In all honesty, this game probably offers the best survival experience available right now. It comes with some catches but never the less it is fun and addictive.

Rust is such a R A W game. It has genuine moments that are amazing and that you can't get in any other game. But it's so real it hurts. The game favors certain play styles and people who don't play like that are at a severe disadvantage. Early and mid game is usually rewarding and fun but in my opinion, the end game needs a lot of work. The problems with end game is inherent to what Rust is so I'm not sure they'll ever be fixed but you should know about it anyway.

If you aren't good with the AK and don't feel like spending the time to learn its pattern then you will always be at a crazy disadvantage to the people who do use it. The AK is simply put top dog in rust. Oil Rig is still ridiculous. with enough patience the scientists can be taken out with bows and arrows. This allows you to skip the natural progression of the workbenches. So what happens is on wipe day large groups go out and fight over the oil rigs on day one and the biggest group gets ahead of everyone else effectively crippling the economy from the start. This happens on basically every server.

I'm torn on rockets. On one hand, they make leveling stupid big bases possible and incredible moments can happen because of that. on the other, those moments don't happen often and they are mainly used to raid small bases for cheap because of splash damage. Rockets make raiding the humble 2x2 practically free. The game also inherently make raiding the little guys the best option because you have everything to gain and nothing to lose because their weaponry is too basic to do anything.

There are problems with early and mid game too but they are really just consequences of the games openness. Spending time getting stuff and losing it all is very frustrating but it's part of what makes getting loot meaningful. There are people out there who want your loot and will do whatever they can to get it. That's just how it is. If you can't accept that then you shouldn't play because your happiness will be put in the hands of random chance. Even if you are the best player on the server things can go wrong and you can loss everything. You should also accept that the game favors large numbers, KOS, and stuff like door camping. It doesn't mean you have to do that stuff, in fact I've had lots of fun going against those. It's just a challenge you have to deal with and something to keep in mind-.

This game is also crazy toxic too. like so toxic it might be the most toxic on steam. You have to understand though that these are real people who put real time into this game. It's easy to become emotionally invested. You don't know the type of person they are that this game has enticed them to act this way. There's no reason to take anything personal because the nature of this game can make everyone look like an enemy. and many people fall into the trap of becoming an obsessed loser because they are too invested.

If you're super chill then get this game and have a good time, test how chill you are. If you're very sweaty get this game and use it as exposure therapy. If you can have fun without getting emotional about it well look at that, You just grew as a person. I highly recommend this game because it tells you stuff about yourself and it's fun af. Just don't become a sweaty ♥♥♥♥ and ruin the community more.
