It is bad, just bad. There is a reason this was never a classic in its day whilst BG1 and 2 were master games.

The "update" is not an update really and the game is still dog poo.

Avoid and play a proper game from this time period - BG1.

Feels like Skyrim but as if it was made in 2026. That is all you need to know about how good this is.

Very good start to what could be something as great as BG3 to play. Gameplay wise it is spot on and I love the WASD ability to control and the immersion that brings. Graphics wise it is so much better than the original - like actually very nice environments and the city shot!!! wow nice.

Over all a good EA in terms of showing what a great game this will be. Not yet but it looks like it will be great.

Instant buy if you like extraction shooters done right - amazing solo and a blast with friends.

If you like Civilisation and you like RPGs then this game is perfect. It is I guess very loosely based on War of Magic a very old game but is actually quite unique.

The original games that came out in this series over the last 15 years were totally amazing but.... were buggy messes initially with Fallen Enchantress being the most polished but it still crashed a lot. This is a complete rework of the code and graphics and they are adding in elements of all 3 games.

The developer is active in steam discussions and the company are genuinely doing this out of love of the game and concept. Still the same main guy in charge - Brad also called Frogboy on the forums.

This Early access version is very stable and it a joy to play, what is even better is that we know they are actively developing it! Honestly I could not wish for more. I have thousands of hours across all the series games and looks like many more thousands on this one!

Sorry to say but this is just boring!

Tutorials do not complete and basic stuff is wrong like it says right click on a city when there is no right click. Remains inpenatrably hard unless you spend hours and hours working everything out = a poorly designed game.

Great potential but very badly done - just makes you want to play civilisation where you have more control and its a whole lot simpler and funner.

Pretty good feeling about the game after 3 hours play through. Lots of depth. No issues with UI or other elements people are getting hung up on.

Will revise review after 100 hours. If my gameplay is not over 100 hours in a few months then you can take this as a negative review as Civ 6 i did near to 2000 hours and Civ 5 over 1000 and countless thousands in Civ 4, 3, 2 and the original.

Actually it is OK - like it has actual promise. I thought this was a con but when you can actually get on a server the game is OK. For an MMO it is surprisingly good combat etc. I mean it is not AAA or nice to look at at all and the movement and animations are way off the new UE5 MMOs like Pax Dei and Ashes but it has way more developed game play.
