i dont have it in me to go into detail i just ranted to friends about it and im so frustrated with how this works
early to midgame spoilers

the part of the game before new regions
echoes are really weird and dont make any sense
the sounds also dont feel like rain world at all
you get a stealth ability
i forget i have it most of the time because this feels just like survivor but colored a different color and if i use the ability it doesnt feel good either

part after getting to new regions
90% of new enemies i encounter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck and have stupid design, coral enemies that zap you and block passages and wont move no matter what you do and youre just played by rng
some stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moths that sometimes just doom you to die and you cant do anything and other times they just do nothing and you cant even harm them
youre supposed to find one echo within this area that will unlock more content in other regions
i didnt know this i wasnt told its necessary and they didnt point me anywhere i just kept discovering portals to different regions
the regions had a bunch of stuff thats unlocked only after finding the echo which i didnt find
i wasted many hours exploring with no reward going region to region being both frustrated and bored
now im supposed to go back through multiple ♥♥♥♥ regions and die trying to find the echo in aether ridge THEN go back to regions i already explored (i wont feel any excitement or reward while trying to find the echo now) and go in the places ive already been in and actually progress the game
many regions have boring or very bad level geometry, very repetitive too
entering portals and exploring regions doesnt feel rewarding at all its just "watching"
the new regions have basically no lore no attachment to rain world no anything they just feel like the devs crammed as many custom non vanilla regions into the game as they can to please the community or something and it just feels too big and too tangled and now i wont enjoy it because of the previous previous point

im frustrated and not having fun and this has never happened in my first playthrough and downpour
i will try a little bit more but this is really not it
