The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition (I'll refer to it as Skyrim SE, and the original release as "old vanilla"), is a $40 improvement upon the nearly half-decade old original release.

For one, the game is now in 64-bit, meaning the game use more than 4 gigabytes of memory if needed.

They have also included builtin mod support via Bethesda.net, and if that's not your thing, the Nexus is slowly making a migration to this version as you are reading this.

The graphics have also gotten an (admittedly slight) upgrade from the original.

In my opinion, this is worth it if you already own old vanilla, or if you never bought the PC version before.

This game is very good and kind of emotional if you have similar creative endeavors like Vinty here. It'll only take you an hour, and it's free, so there's no harm in getting it.

This is a great game. Good gameplay, good combat system, and pretty everything else. It's everything I want in a RPG for the PC.

You can equip any weapon in any hand, dodge roll, block, and more. Think Skyrim, but more options.

My only gripe is the difficulty. I know that's like saying salt is too salty, but I expected a "It's your fault" kind of way. For me, it's been cheap death after cheap death.

At one point, I even attacked that guy at the beginning. And he smack-talks you as he kills you (I know I deserved it, but YOU try not killing someone after ~20 deaths).


But it's not like that everytime. When I die sometimes, I do think it was my fault and could do better. But when I get stabbed while healing, that's just unfair.


So It's not like I HATE this game, it's just way too difficult compared to other games.

If you can take the difficulty, go right ahead. I hope you have fun. But if you played other RPGs, this will take FOREVER to actually be half decent.

I think this game is great. I don't play it much, but in my few hours (if not 30 minutes) I think this game is very fun.

I think it could've added some things like obstacles, challenges, level deitor, and maybe some way of enemy AI. But this game is still great.

This game is like Mincraft meets DayZ (or so I'm told, as I've never played DayZ), and that's a good thing.

If you play this game, however, be careful. PvP servers don't play around. I recommend playing the tutorial, then playing the Arena map, as it has no zombies.

The zombies are a little too powerful to me, but I usually get along fine (despite my many deaths).

One more thing: PewDiePie apparently played this game, so the forums are a little... flamy.

All in all, great game, difficult, and a shaky community.
