It’s not all bad – in fact, it’s actually really good in the areas that matter.
The graphics and match engine have had a huge upgrade compared to the last versions of FM. Players move more naturally, matches finally look alive, and you can actually see your tactical ideas come to life on the pitch.

The new tactical system with in-possession and out-of-possession phases is exactly what we’ve been asking for for years, and the studio absolutely nailed it. It gives you proper control over how your team plays in different moments, and it just makes sense.

Sure, the user interface still needs work – it’s a bit clunky and inconsistent at times – but hopefully that gets fixed in the coming months.

Overall though, this feels like the future of Football Manager. It’s finally moving forward again.

A Masterclass in Football Management - FM23 Delivers Again!

Football Manager 2023 has once again raised the bar for football management simulations. As an avid fan of the series for many years, I've been consistently impressed by the depth and realism that each new instalment brings, and FM23 is no exception.

Up until point the best management simulation game ever created. Much has changed from previous edition and the overall score and ratings of the players just go to prove these claims.

Looking forward to FM20.

Best instalment of the game since it went Football Manager after a split with Eidos.
