A very nice hack and slash sequel to Persona 5. Only main complaint is the lack of acknowledgement of the events that took place in Royal, as well as there being very little social elements. Overall though it continues the P5 story nicely, and it's more Phantom Thieves content.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an amazing example of what can happen when you let passion direct a game. On a technical level, the game is far from perfect; several cases of floating NPCs, cut off dialog and rare long load times. When it comes to playing the game itself though, it could not be any more enjoyable. If I had to describe the feeling I got from the game, it's that it's full of engaging tedium. Repairing your gear, picking your clothing and armor to match a situation, visiting towns to stock up on supplies for quests or your own use, it's time consuming but I'll be damned if it isn't immersive in the best way possible. Everything you do for yourself is an upgrade you can feel. Leveling your skills and obtaining perks is nice, but when it comes to combat it means nothing if you don't know how to fend for yourself. Combat isn't a test of grinding for XP and getting levels, it's a measure of your own preparedness and equipment. The slow progression of learning to fight and get good gear feels insanely rewarding.

I see many of the negative reviews focusing on combat being too hard, unclear and frustrating. It's really not that bad, the only time I can understand that is later into the game when heavily armored enemies feel like they grab you constantly. A key part of combat is getting good with a bow. Once you become a good marksman and get better arrows you can take out targets safely and even soften an enemy for melee, but even then melee combat is only difficult until you get a good grasp of it.

Another negative I saw often is the limited saves. While autosave is only present while completing quest steps, it's quite easy to save your game. All you need to do is go to a bed you own and sleep! You should always do that before doing something risky. Sure it's an extra step but it's a real easy solution to the problem and gives purpose to a mechanic that hardly gets used in RPGs. Your consumable for saving should be used sparingly, but you can always learn alchemy and buy more if you really want to.

In all, I really loved my time with Kingdom Come: Deliverance and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes immersion and RPGs as a whole. There are so many mechanics and systems at work to engage with and a great story to go with it.

Very solid way to experience Persona 3, just make sure to install a mod to restore missing cutscenes. That being said you'll be missing out on additional content like The Answer epilogue DLC since it's not included in Portable, as well as other smaller additions in FES and Reload. If you want that, you can find a way to play P3FES for the PS2 or play Reload.

The main draw of P3P is to play as the female protagonist that isn't playable in any other version of the game (which is the reason I got it). Her route adds new social links and characters to interact with that aren't available in the default male route. It's a refreshing way to interact with the game if you've already played through it once, but it's still a great way to experience the game for the first time. If you're gonna do this, I VERY HIGHLY recommend searching for and installing the Kotone Cutscenes Project mod. It will enhance your experience of playing as the female protagonist by a mile, with a high quality fan made opening cinematic and restored cutscenes.

Persona 3 is my favorite game of all time, I could rant all day about why that is. To keep this review very short though, this is just another option to experience it, with the female protagonist being its main appeal.

Pretty good game to scratch the CRPG itch if you've got it. I wouldn't say it has the most excellent writing or the best cast of supporting characters ever, but everything serves its purpose. There's a lot of neat wacky quests, and it feels like your overall vision for main quest is something you can fulfill. Feels like the story could've gone any way depending on what I chose to do. You aren't given much of a background other than being an Arizona Ranger, so there's real roleplay potential for the kind of character you want to be. A bunch of different weapons and skills let you find your niche too, enough for a full party to have something they excel at. Like any good RPG as well, you have a decent amount of dialog options and you have a fair amount of freedom in tackling the problems presented to you (though not as much freedom as I'd like). Gameplay is pretty much X-COM with some tweaks, so it's nothing too complex or hard to figure out. I felt right at home after about two fights. Loved all the references to 80s culture in the game as well. Having not played Wasteland 1 or 2, I wasn't too sure what to expect but I really liked my time.

I only have a ton of minor nitpicks with the game that do add up quite a bit, such as the importance of HP hindering some builds. I decided to spec into Strength on both characters I controlled for example, cause you're gonna get 1-2 shotted if not. Starting feats are pretty bad too, some of which can hinder you pretty harshly for the rest of your game. Skill perks felt pretty lackluster to me, the stat increases to my skills felt far more impactful than many of the perks I could take. A huge one for me though that's both a negative and positive, the soundtrack is AMAZING! From covers of 80s pop to old American anthems, the soundtrack feels masterfully done. What's not so good is the placement of them! Some encounters have unique music, but it seems so random considering there are major encounters with default music. Meanwhile, seemingly smaller scale battles get one of the unique battle themes. Not to spoil anything, but I felt extremely let down at times due to major battles lacking a unique theme while other fights did.

A HUGE disclaimer for Co-op though, it's not perfect. It's actually quite flawed even years later. Latency is usually fine for these kinds of games (Such as Divinity, Baldur's Gate 3, etc.) but I played through the game with someone on higher ping. While I'm uncertain if these issues are related to connection or not, Co-op introduces problems such as; Rounds starting without any AP, some actions consuming no AP even though Lucky Action didn't trigger, and some animations being severely delayed.

If you're going to play this game, I highly advise playing on the beta branch which fixed some smaller issues I had. To access it, go to the game's properties, beta tab and enter "AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs" in the code field.

Overall a pretty good time, get it if you can on a sale. Even though it was buggy, it's even better if you have someone to play it with.

Metaphor is an amazing commentary on the political landscape and the power that fantasy can hold on our life. The setting is a major step away from Persona and while the game is formatted similarly to it, it manages to carve out its own unique identities to set it apart. With an amazing set of characters, a constantly unraveling plot that continues to twist and turn, and a gameplay formula that combines elements of Shin Megami Tensei and Persona, you have a masterpiece of a combination that will surely leave its mark on the JRPG genre.

With Silent Hill 2 being my favorite Team Silent entry in the series (along with tons of other people), I was super hesitant to see Bloober Team was handling this remake given their mixed track record. After finishing the game though, I can confidently say this is THE best way to experience Silent Hill 2. Every single aspect of the original has either been remade faithfully or added on to in line with the themes of the original. The third person camera and updated combat add a bit more interactivity to the game which feels amazing, considering the relatively weak gameplay of the series. While combat isn't really a focus of the series, the remake helps to make the gameplay feel good instead of just passable.

My only complaint with the remake is a complaint I had with the original game, which is the fact that all the original endings are very hidden and convoluted to achieve without looking at a guide. Additionally, the technical aspects of the game aren't perfect. Between traversal stutters and some weird frame drops, optimization definitely needs some work.

Whether you're a hardcore fan looking to explore the remake or a newcomer to the series, I very highly recommend this remake. Bloober Team had the monumental task of remaking a beloved classic and they absolutely nailed it. Here's hoping the rest of the Team Silent games can get the same treatment!

First and foremost, this is coming from the perspective of someone that is a big fan of Dead by Daylight. This is the kind of game that I'm not sure non-fans on the series would enjoy, considering the game is full of DbD references and deals with the lore surrounding it as part of the bigger picture. There is so much fanservice in this game that it's almost quite literally around every corner.

That being said, I enjoyed the game for what it was; a super cool to see how the Entity interacts with the regular world in a setting outside of the game of Dead by Daylight itself. With new original characters that are a mixed bag, (you'll probably love some, hate some) you have a whole cast whose lives are about to get turned upside down because of supernatural forces they aren't aware of. Spanning different time periods from past to present, you'll get to see how Frank Stone's legacy has forever changed Cedar Hill and beyond in a classic Supermassive Games experience. You'll make choices, probably get some people killed, but you'll eventually get an ending you like (or don't). Just know that there isn't much "gameplay" if you're not used to these kinds of games. You're basically playing an interactive movie/story. This can be a dealbreaker for a lot of people as these kinds of games can easily be watched on YouTube.

The experience isn't entirely flawless though. The game seems really rough in regards to optimization as many other reviews have stated, and some of the lip syncing just feels off. While facial animations and emotions are well done at some points, at others they feel completely off.

Personally I would wait for a sale unless you're a huge DbD fan interested in this kind of thing, as the game is roughly 6 hours-ish long. You do get the ability to go back and replay different parts of the story to make different decisions and choices after finishing the game, but as spoiler free as possible some of these things just.... don't really matter. At the end of the day though I'm glad this game exists. We got a different look at the world of DbD that has never been done before after such a long time, and a potential look at what might come to the game in the future.

I literally flip flop back and forth all the time with this game. It is simultaneously the most fun co-op game I've ever played while being incredibly annoying with the amount of technical bugs. Despite that, it is one of the most unique and fun co-op games of all time and it would be wrong of me to give it a bad review like I have in the past.

In my original review I talked about how I had an amazing time with the game, as well as how it was my introduction to Persona and JRPGs as a whole. Since then, I spent much of this year playing through Persona 1-5 and having an absolute blast with the entire series. I finished P3R at the end of February and have now come back to play the Episode Aigis expansion, staying spoiler free of it the entire time as I never played P3FES. (While I won't comment on how Atlus has implemented a scummy form of monetization by separating this from the steep 70$ price tag and additional editions of the game, that's a conversation for another day.)

Revisiting Persona 3 and getting to cap off the experience with its epilogue through Aigis's perspective as well as playing through the entire series as a whole, I can firmly say that Persona 3 is my favorite entry in the series and possibly my favorite game of all time. I've gotten to experience quite a number of deeply impactful games up to this point, but Persona 3 has hit closer to home than anything thus far. I would love to gush on and on about the many emotions it made me feel, from sheer joy to crushing heartache, but to do so would take away from the experience of the game itself. It's the kind of game whose themes and messages can and should touch your heart, no matter what. It has personally made me more aware of the kind of person I wish to be. While that road may take a very long time and will be rough, Persona 3 has been nothing short of a life changing experience. I have never stopped thinking about it since I finished it, and now I will certainly continue to think about it for a long time to come.

While this has much been more a personal rant than a review, rest assured every other aspect of the game is phenomenal. It has an engaging turn based combat system, a wonderful cast of characters, gorgeous visuals and an earworm of a soundtrack. Your daily life system is a refreshing break from dungeon crawling, both main aspects of the game balancing each other out nicely. You have a ton of Personas to grind for and collect along with a bunch of other characters you can get to know and bond with, and both of those systems go hand in hand. There's a bunch here to keep you engaged just from a gameplay standpoint even if that's all you care about.

I would very, very highly recommend P3R to anyone and everyone. No matter what kind of games you enjoy, there will be something for everyone and so much more beyond that.

This is how you make an incredible action game. An insane amount of customization and experimentation, tons of replayability and a lot of missions to go through make for yet another unforgettable FromSoftware experience. It will require patience and occasionally make you shift your strategy, but beating that hard boss or level makes it all worth it.
