Its a card game so if you don't like card games it might not be for you, but I found myself enjoying this a lot where I am normally so so on card games.

I am a destiny veteran, who did pretty much everything in destiny 1, and everything in this game as well up to forsaken dlc (completed a lot of it). I purchased the collectors edition of the game and likely hundreds of dollars of silver. I eventually got bored of destiny 2, so I stopped playing.

In that time, the game was transferred to steam from battle net. This was my fault. I should of saw an email, or checked up with it, but at the same time, it is sad that my data is forever lost due to bungie deciding not to host the data of blizzard net accounts and instead dump them to the void. Again Ill say, this is my fault and not the reason for the negative review.

Although I was quite upset realizing I had lost numerous limited time items, and collectors edition extras, I decided to push on and see the start of the game regardless.

It had completely changed, now resembling the start of destiny 1. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but this leads me into the reason for this negative review.

What is there for new players now? Not much. I open my inventory to find my starting armor at 1100 light level. Why is this? To balance my character to the games current content. When the next content drops, new players will likely start even higher.

Why is this a bad thing? In destiny 2, bungie has decided to REMOVE content which does not match the current level and story line of the latest DLC. Previous DLCs, even if purchased become no longer playable, and the content is all but erased from the game. There is no build up for new players.

"With the release of the Beyond Light expansion in November 2020, Destiny 2's original base campaign (The Red War), as well as all of the content from Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken's Annual Pass, were removed from the game and placed into the Destiny Content Vault and are no longer accessible"

All of this content, vaulted just because it isn't on level. Yet your light level starts Pre set above what it originally was in this content. I think players should be able to experience all of it, and build their characters up to the level of the newest content, while following the story line which leads into it.


With the final part of this review I will leave some sentiment towards destiny 1, in particular, replaying old content. Up until I stopped playing destiny 1, two of my favorite things to do with friends was Crota's End, and the Prison of elders. No reason for doing them really, the loot you would get would be under leveled and unusable outside of cosmetic in the tower. But we enjoyed the content.

In destiny 2, similar earlier raids have already long been sunset into my memories.

Buy this if you enjoy pain. Not paper cut pain, or stubbed toe pain, but more like belt sanding your arms with salt and vinegar pain. Pretty fun ed! very cool!

After playing for a while this is def a good game, and its very challenging at points. Lived up to the first game well :')

Not feeling this one yet boss, wait for some updates and hopefully they make the world feel more full. This isnt an open world game its a mission based game with an open world loading screen. After you drive across the city 10 times you see that their isnt anything going on and its an ocean of content with no depth.

*updating review to say that the game is still ass. Do not let the positive reviews fool you. While some bugs may have been fixed, the core of the game is hollow, and the gameplay will put you to sleep. The story is completely linear, and sandbox elements are still almost nonexistent.

In my opinion this is the biggest triple A scam the gaming world has ever seen. If you do choose to buy this, or are one of the amoebas defending it, please take a moment to consider the 9 years of development this game had, and what was delivered.
