I don't like having only two options to vote. I'd probably give it 3/5 stars, if that would be an option.
The setting and artstyle are great. The Warhammer 40k universe is a perfect environment for a game like this.
Why I am giving this a downvote then?
Because it doesn't feel good.
The menus and controls feel like mouse and keyboard were just and afterthought.
Maybe people like to play with controller more, so I'll not factor that in.
While the levels look cool in general, you should not look too close. Right in the first level (not counting the introduction) was a narrow corridor with a table standing in a corner. A book was floating 20 cm above the table, because it wasn't properly placed. Right behind it lay a dead person, also floating at least 20 centimeters above the ground.
When I walked on an elevator with my two fellow space marines, one of them fell into the floor so that only his head and shoulders were peeking out. So I tried not looking too much on the details from then on.
I love all the small dialogues all the people around me have, but I couldn't listen to all of them, because several of them were triggering in parallel or together with another scripted dialogue.
Also the hit feedback is poorly made. While the death animations and finisher-moves are nice, most enemies don't react at all when being hit. You can only see any damage you cause by the bar above their head. Especially the chaos marines.
I also usually like to play games like these on high diffculty.
But one of the first missions (where you have to defend the cannon that's charging up) is so difficult, that I set it two steps down.
It doesn't feel like a proper challenge, but just annoying.
You have to kill flying enemies that are stuck to some pieces of equipment, but it's hard to see which ones are already dead and which ones still need to be killed.
All the while you're swarmed with enemies that will break your reload-animation, so that you have to start reloading again, while the others keep munching on the equipment.
All in all, it felt strangely superficial to me. Like the team developing it wasn't really into it, or if they didn't have had enough time.
I thought I could at least customize my character a little, but I got exactly one option:
Change the look of the chainsword, one bolter and one pauldron -> But only if you pay for it.

Fun, addictive and rewarding,
Combat is basically optional, which is a good thing.

I tried to play the game after not having done any sports activity in months and without warming up before.
Had to pause for a few days after that, because I hurt my shoulder.
Now I'm always warming up first and I have a lot of fun.
My wife had to quit kickboxing because she got chronic tendonitis, but she does have no proplems fighting in VR, so we both use the game to have our workouts :)
I'm on a rift with about 1.5 x 2m of space and we're playing with the always front-facing option, which is not ideal, but the best we can manage in our flat.
A Vive and 3x3m of space would be ideal for that game, I think.

My wife complained once, because there is no kicking in the game, but the reasons for that are obvious and nothing you can hold against the developer ;)
Maybe in the next generation of VR there will be full-body tracking. Until then, I hope that I'll have a bigger room just for VR.
It's worth it!

I suck at this game, but I love it anyway. I'm still practicing with bots before I'll try it out online, but it has already been worth the money I spent.
I'm playing with the Oculus Rift. Had only two sensors in the beginning and it worked fine, but it's way better now that I have my third sensor up and full room-scale movement.

Mit meiner Rift habe ich schon gemerkt, dass das Spiel für die Vive gemacht ist.
Ich musste die Joystick-Bewegung aktivieren und habe zum ersten Mal leichte VR-Krankheitserscheinungen bekommen, das war es aber wert.
Muss mir unbedingt noch einen dritten Sensor kaufen, um das Spiel komplett genießen zu können.
Habe mich mehrmals fast auf's Maul gelegt, weil ich - trotz Begrenzung - gegen das Sofa gerannt bin um die nächstbeste Waffe aufzuheben.
Gut ist auch, dass meine Frau Kampfsport macht, andernfalls könnte sie sich mir während dem Spiel nicht nähern.

Ein paar Verbesserungen wären noch schön. Die von anderen bereits angesprochenen Kopfnüsse, oder dass man sich per Stick drehen kann, wären noch nette Features.

Insgesamt ist es aber eine deutliche Empfehlung, sofern man genug Platz und idealerweise eine Vive oder eine Rift mit guter Abdeckung hat. Wenn man es (so wie ich) mit der Rift + Joystick-Steuerung versucht, sollte man nicht allzu Empfindlich gegenüber der VR-Krankheit sein.
