If you enjoyed the first KCD, you will enjoy this one. They did a really good job of making it feel like the same game but with new features, technologies, and strategy. The story was very interesting and immersive and many of your choices have consequences that you feel. Would for sure recommend the game to anyone that enjoys realistic, historical, story based, simulator games.

Personally, I would recommend playing the first game before playing this one. The story is HIGHLY reliant on the previous game.

Stellaris is essentially RISK on steroids and in space. It looks more complicated than it actually is; after a few play-throughs you'll get the hang of things. It is built in a way that whether you play online or single-player, the galaxy feels alive. The RPG aspect is refreshing as well. Not only can you choose your civilizations race and traits, but how you want to play the game as well. Is your focus on economy, science, war, etc? The new DLCs and updates they provide always add a new flair to the game, but in my experience thus far are not necessary whatsoever to enjoy the game. I've played over 100 hours in Vanilla and just bought my first DLC. Great game, great dev team, great time. 100/10 reccomend.

Look, it's not perfect, devs kinda suck sometimes, but its a fun game. The people who have the most criticism for it are the ones that have hundreds of hours on it. You will have an overall good experience!

FOR THOSE ON THE FENCE:

This is essentially a great game that could/should be better. You will not be disappointed, but be prepared for random bugs that detract from the overall experience. It is playable for sure, but there can be annoying moments. The story and characters are fantastic and it can really be quite the immersive experience. I would suggest finding some mods that seem interesting, but as someone who was SUPER hesitant about this game, I am very glad I got it after 30 hours of playtime.

I rather enjoyed this game. It turned out to be something much more than I expected. This was an extremely creative story, with interesting decisions to make, and different ways to act. There are also 4 ways to complete the game and figuring out each one was fun and a challenge mentally. 10/10 would suggest.

10/10 would sell my sister to play this game.
