I originally bought this game while it was still on Epic. It felt like a lot of fun, with solid gameplay, a simple to understand but complex system for levels and progression, and an absolutely gorgeous atmosphere. But it was in desperate need of continued work and fixes, so I ended up refunding it. Once it released here on Steam, I gave it a shot, and everything I originally loved about it has just been made better, and the things they've added have just made this game even more worth it.

Possibly the worst game Bethesda has put out, ever. Story is forgettable, characters are boring, animations are half-assed and even this far into the game's life aren't fixed. It's so dead that there's barely even any mods for it, and considering the only reason modern Bethesda games do well is because of the modding community, that should tell you all you need to know to avoid this game like the plague. I wouldn't even buy this game on sale.

Absolutely amazing. Perfect job capturing the style of 40k, and if you enjoy Vermintide, it's gameplay is that, but taken to the next level with the improvements made.

PLAYED DURING FREE PERIOD

Honestly? The gameplay is nothing spectacular. The game overall is not bad, but combining an isometric action RPG with a survival-builder with building decay mechanics is not a good choice. If this had been made as a standard action-RPG ala Diablo or Torchlight, with a vampire theme and a base to upgrade as you go through, I think it could have been so much better. But as is, unless you've got a lot of free time to sink into the game to prevent your base from disappearing after having to work for a day, I wouldn't say this game is worth it.

Going to start by saying this is absolutely one of my favorite survival/crafting games by far. I've spent a LOT of time building bases, doing dungeon runs with friends, and honestly just messing around in the massive, beautiful game worlds.

But ever since the announcement of a battlepass, I advise heavily against buying or playing this game. There is no such thing as a 'good' battle pass. They are entirely FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) cash grabs with the express purpose of earning the company more money for literally no gameplay changes. They've said this themselves, the battle pass is going to be entirely cosmetic. The only thing this is going to do is lead to players who have the battle pass looking different and players who don't being "stuck" with the non-BP cosmetic looks & skins. There's no point in it. Go pirate this game and play on an unofficial server or something. Don't give them more money, and sure as hell don't buy a battle pass.

TLDR: Battle Pass is a cash grab, shame on Funcom for adding one. Don't buy this game or the battle pass.

Kinda plays like a combination of DOOM and Titanfall. Some of the animations can be a little wonky, but no more or less wonky than the glory kill animations from DOOM can be at times. Occasional FPS drops shortly after loading in, but otherwise it plays very smoothly. If you're a 40k fan, you'll definitely appreciate the detail, size, and scope of the levels. Very fun game.

Repetitive gameplay. No choices really seem to matter. None of the gangs feel unique, the environment and combat levels are boring. Combat is clunky at best, bad enough to screw over the player for a single misclick at worst.

I am in absolute love with this game.

No sandbox mode. I cannot build my own park, on a randomly generated island, while doing things the way I want. I HAVE to play the stupid, objective based campaign mode. No thanks. I'll load up Jurassic Park Operation Genesis rather than play this game.
