My household (my S/O and two kids) got this game to play together, and not even 5 minutes in we started experiencing disconnects, and 3 of the 4 of us are on wired connections. In fact, everyone disconnected at least once in the span of 20 minutes and the last person to DC was on Wi-Fi.

I'm not refunding our copies and we're going to sit on this to see if they work out the kinks, and we'll all give it another try hopefully soon. If they can remedy the disconnection problems, I'll update my review.

Outside of the DC issue, we did have a problem where one person seemed to always transmit their microphone, even when push to talk was turned on for them.

5.19.24 Edit: Sony walked back their decision and I'm back to reviewing the game itself, which deserves a positive mark vs a negative one.

This modern practice of large corporations changing the rules/terms AFTER you've purchased a product is unacceptable. If we give an inch, they will not hesitate to take miles, and the only response is to collectively say "no." What's next, forced advertisements in-game on our ships?

We do not want to be forced into installing PlayStation's crap on our computers.

If Borderlands, Minecraft, and Starship Troopers fused together, this is it.

Fantastic game at its heart and an impressive feat for the work of just one man. All of the shortcomings of this game can be quickly attributed to it being a one-man show; only one person to come up with gameplay ideas, address technical issues, add content, etc.

When (and if) this game becomes entirely available and open to be modded, the potential for this game will improve tenfold.
