Lives up to the hype, might have one of my favorite RPG battle systems ever. Refreshes a lot of JRPG staples in interesting ways that doesn't come off like it disrespects the genre's traditions. A very clear passion project and anyone calling it a "generational RPG" is correct

Factorio for highschool dropouts

Performance aside, the way multiplayer works in this game is beyond frustrating. I bought it to play with my friends but until I can finish the storymode, there's quite literally no reason to play with other people until you finish the story mode solo. It's a singleplayer game with endgame multiplayer. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and completely antithetical to the entire concept of this franchise. The actual gameplay is great, but this is not excusable. I'm still getting tutorials for mechanics I've been engaging the past 5 hours. Completely asinine design for a franchise built around the core idea of hunting monsters with your friends.

Heavy subject matter handled delicately and with amazing execution. The less you know, the better. One of the best surreal character study horror game stories I've ever played

Persona but good

All I wanted in life was to play this game at more than 20 frames per second

Replicates the feel of the original Shin Megami Tensei games flawlessly. I don't care for Touhou media at all for the most part, but this game has really hooked me. Better SMT game than Soul Hackers 2!

Every time I open a new floor of the Soul Matrix dungeons and see a billion teleporters, I gain a grey hair. Can only recommend to SMT fans, not a very good entry point into the franchise.
