I do not play a whole lot of Need for Speed but did grow up playing games like Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted. Bought this game on sale and I have really enjoyed playing this game.

The art-style really reminds me of Watch Dogs 2 and I love it. Making the characters cell-shaded was perhaps maybe a step too far into this art-style but the drifting effects really add to the experience of this being a video game.

The dialogue can be annoying though but that could be due to me not liking a character or two. The dialogue I do like the most was between the main character and Rydell.

On the actual gameplay side, it's fine. It is nothing amazing and never done before but it is solid. What really impressed me about this game is the amount of customization in this game and the amount of tuning you can do to your vehicle. On the character side, it feels like the creators could have giving us more options in clothing, shoes, etc.

Overall this game is really fun to play, but would I spend $70 on it? Ehh I'm not 100% sure, I definitely recommend getting this game when it is on sale on Steam or get a key from a service like G2A.

This game feels very refreshing to play as a fan of modern shooters, haven’t ran into any issues except for first launch (my fault cause I didn’t have the recent NVIDIA Graphics Drivers installed)

The game has it's flaws (ahem, micro-transactions) but overall I have enjoyed my time playing this game and something about it has me coming back.

I very much enjoy playing this game, devs are quick with updates and the game has many events to partake in. Each new season comes with new characters and balance changes that make the game feel fresh.

Competitive could be less toxic but to me that is just what comes with this type of game.

Game has gotten significantly better and is really enjoyable with friends. Wish there was in-game voice chat, would make things way more fun
