Visually the game is great, i feel it has a cool concept, sfx are nice too.
The game was fun at first but the more I played, the more I ran into a machine that needed me to tab out and read/watch an explination as I felt the ingame docs arn't good enough - or they miss details.

Then I just see countless exploits and workarounds that people use, like 'don't use x machine, use this way instead' or 'here's a better door' and the game has been out so long yet these better than the default machine ways exist instead of the devs adding in machines, it makes me feel like anything I try to figure out is actually a trap.
It just feels off, there's too many workarounds and doing it the intended way feels crap.
Maybe i'll come back to it and try push through.

Darfall plays OK, sometimes microing units on higher difficulties can be a bit annoying but is not that bad.
The survival mode seems random enough that good choke are rare and feel good when you find them, however nighttime graphics are weak - the darkness area is not proper black and doesn’t blend in well as it’s like a washed out haze, it could have looked so much nicer but someone decided they like less colour depth.
Unfortunately for me, I played the campaign which ends on such a stupid note that going to play survival feels pointless.

I would refund the game if I could based on the ending.

If you've player the other Starcom games this is very similar but with more action and variance in the weapons.
I enjoyed the story, missions, and exploring was fun too* (sped the game up).
It wasn't too cryptic with the puzzles if I could solve them :)
I thought the quality of this version one was quite good and if you like this style of space exploring game then I would highly recommend it.**

Cons:
It is quite slow unless you speed the game up - very slow, there is a lot of just flying around time.

I thought speeding the game up would lead to me cheesing it a little- like making a slower ship but with more armour but I still went with a fast as possible ship. It is really felt that slow.
By the end of the game my play time 29.2 hours but my ingame save file is 45hours, that's a 100% play through however and using aggressive game speed at points.

Overall enjoyed it!

100 hours in From Glory To Goo and still enjoying it.

Game play is similar to something like They Are Billions in that you must create/expand your colony, build up power, and water for your colonists, but different enough in that you have many options to choose from to get ahead in the game. Each of those different options plays slightly different and most feel pretty interesting.
The game has an unlock system for perks/bonuses to make replaying maps more appealing/rewarding.

Currently there is no story, but there is an unlock system for each of the maps.

The community is also very friendly and the developer is active in chat.
Looking forward to the future of From Glory To Goo.

Gnorp! It fills that cookie clicker-esk addiction but this has an ending to work towards. Progress feels solid, and with each reset i felt the need to try as many new things as i could. Do wish it had something else for the far late game and also more importantly the little Gnorps are quite cute.

Unfortunately the FOV only goes up to 85 - hard blocker for the game.

This adds a new skill tree and a game mode. The game mode is essentially like a pubG map vs the AI, the map you're on has a shrinking safe zone on a timer - like pubG. In the game mode you have no abilities or such from your main play through and must find guns/shields/mods along the way, you start fresh everytime.

It's just so incredibly poorly paced and unrewarding. The extra skill tree should have been part of the base game, the game mode should never have existed bundled with the skill tree. Upper management made a bad decision on this one.

Loop Hero was ace, the mechanics felt familiar yet different to anything else i've played.
I loved the aesthetic of the game and the tunes never got old for me.
Pros:
Lots of variety and tactics to try
Music didn't get old
Consistent and tweakable graphics and even font type selections
Interesting enough story with a conclusion that wasn't negative
Cons:
Once I finished it I did not feel like playing much more
Slow once you speed it up - I feel like it's almost required to speed the game up once you try it faster than normal.
