Beneath the clunky controls, obtuse puzzles, and irritating sidekick there's a really interesting concept I've not seen in a game before. If this was just about the intrigue of meeting a new alien race and finding ways to communicate, and Anthony had died on impact of the alien world, then I'd probably recommend it.
