This game is the only reason I now sort ratings by negative before I buy.
This game is SO overrated. I chose to give him a chance willingly, in good faith. I was EXTREMELY disappointed.

This "game" actually is a waiting/walking simulator, where the game doesn't give you ANY hint about what you have to do, but the plot twist is that there's a hidden countdown.
The main mechanics of the loop put you in a constant state of frustration: if you miss something, you go back to the beginning of the loop! But beware: to get back in, you have to wait! And believe me, you'll miss. A LOT. ALL THE TIME. The game gives NO indication.

You walk slowly, you move through space slowly, everything is slow, but the game is made in such a way that you have to be fast enough to move through the story. Prepare yourself for a looping speedrun until you reach a room where you'll read a few lines that leave you with NO further information.
The controls are AWFUL : the game wants to make them realistic, so you have to accelerate, counter gravity, counter your own movement, ... because "you have to understand, games are realistic nowadays!". This makes the overall experience all the worse, as this is the eighteenth time you've passed through a planet, and you know you're going to die a dozen more times.
You'll also have to manage your oxygen, as well as the fuel in your jetpack. Resource management in a puzzle game! This has NOTHING to do here, and further degrades the experience by artificially extending the game's lifespan through player's repeated deaths. Especially as these two resources are necessary to the game: your oxygen is naturally emptied as you play, and the jetpack is naturally emptied as you move around the world. So you're limited in both time and movement.

The story itself, the core of the game, is empty, uninteresting and poorly presented. In concrete terms, the game arranges elements randomly on the map, and it's up to you to link them together to form an increasingly incoherent whole.
I finished the game by accident, without even realizing it, and I only noticed it because I got the credits rolling. No cutscene, no explanation.

I fail to understand how a game like this can be voted GOTY when it's only intended for a small percentage of gamers. The developers obviously forgot that it's the game's job to hook the player, not the player to force himself to like a game.

NB : I wrote this whole review during the UNSKIPPABLE waiting moments where you juste have to AFK and wait because the universe is not yet in the good alignment.
