Governments are nothing but banditry on a much larger scale. We owe them no more loyalty than we owe to a common thief or killer. It is imperative that for anyone currently under the thumb of state authority to do everything in your power to separate yourself from their influence. Things like growing your own food and selling/providing it to neighbors. You could also generate your own power, or dig a well. You can sell things on the black market. There's a ton of options that don't require a high degree of risk though will still pay off in the rotting away of state authority. For reading on this topic, I recommend any of the works by Samuel Edward Konkin III and also Murray Rothbard, if you stick to his earlier works, as he seems to revert back into a statist mindset during the later decades of his life. Of course, I'd recommend that you read up on Austrian economics, as well as Aristotle's works on ethics. You would do well to read the work of people such as Lysander Spooner and Benjamin Tucker also.
