Dinkum is a super fun, chill, life sim that takes place on a large island, the game is very much inspired by Animal Crossing but at the same time it is also a survival game, offering combat with various dangerous creatures, the game also is heavily inspired by Australian culture and the wildlife too. The game can be played solo or multiplayer, I do have some gripes with the multiplayer however, such as the ability for only the host to do certain things such as obtain deeds for buildings to construct and also going to the mine and other locations outside of the main island must be done with all party members. The game is very fun and chill whilst also providing a challenge trying to craft some of the most difficult recipes, maintaining a good relationship with your neighbours and various other tasks. There's lots of skills to level up such as mining, fishing, combat, farming etc. To say this game is made by a solo dev is very impressive and they clearly are passionate about their game, I hope they make the multiplayer a little less restrictive but overall I do recommend this game if you are looking for something like animal crossing or just a new cosy game to chill to.

Really fun DLC, the planet is a lot more vertical in layout and the lore is really cool, I also like that we now have three more endings to choose from, new machines, plants and materials too, overall I do recommend this if you are a big fan of planet crafter and don't mind "starting again" as it is basically the same thing as the original planet but with a few additions and tweaks.

Planet Crafter is really a wonderful survival crafting game, it is a little rough around the edges but you can feel the passion for the game, you are tasked with terraforming a planet after being sent there for committing crimes. This game can be played solo or multiplayer, you slowly build your base and discover the logs of various planet crafters who were sent there before you and even a mysterious people that inhabited the planet long ago. The game is super fun and I really hope they continue to update this game and add more and maybe smooth out some of the rough parts such as textures or typos. Highly recommend if you enjoy survival crafting games.

Lightyear Frontier is a relaxing farm sim in which you crash down on a planet and are tasked with building your farm whilst also helping out neighbouring planets by sending resources to them. As you progress through the game you unlock more tools and can upgrade your mech, different machines to help achieve your goals and even meet some friendly faces. I really enjoyed this game and whilst it is still early access, I look forward to its full release, the game isnt stressful or difficult, its the kind of game you can load up and chill. I recommend this for farming sim and survival game fans, the game can be played solo or multiplayer.

Right now I cannot recommend this game, it is still very very early access and I do not even think it is really fit for release into early access, there is quite a lack of features and the gameplay is pretty dull right now, the multiplayer also has bugs such as spellbook resetting, jump randomly not working for no reason, dying and being trapped in a void, game desync. Also some of the spells make no sense such as the repair spell, its incredibly cheap and easy to do so it makes me wonder why there is normal repairing at a workbench when you can simply cast a spell and repair your whole inventory anywhere on the map. I really want to like this game but I think it still needs a lot of work, I also think the variety of enemies is lackluster, just a lot of the same enemies (rat, plague rat, zombie rat, cow, zombie cow, etc)

Whatever you do, do not buy this game, I feel like it was misleading, the co-op was so buggy, the gameplay feels so dated, I felt like I was playing a game from 2010, honestly this game reminded me of the stomping land and i genuinely feel ripped off, I do not recommend this and I just hope that the second game is better.

Necesse is a really fun 2D colony survival that mixes Rimworld, Stardew and Terraria together, when I first started this game I didn't think there was much to it but as I progressed through the quests and built up my settlement the game opened up a lot more, it can be quite challenging at times, there are plenty of varieties of weapons, armour and shields to use, its nice to be able to not feel boxed into a specific build to progress through the game, you can play the game solo or with friends and you can even take your settlers on adventures with you to fight and explore together, I feel the gameplay loop is fun and rewarding, there is a clear line of progression and the only thing I wish was added to the game was bigger storage chests as you progress through the game, this is because if you like to hoard in games (like i do) then you will start to quickly realise just how fast they storage boxes fill up. Managing the settlers in your settlements doesn't feel too overwhelming and I didn't feel I had to constantly micro manage, the npc's are intelligent and they have their own unique skills and jobs that they are best at. Overall I highly recommend this game.

Misery is a post apocalyptic survival game that can be played solo or with friends, its a PVE based game and you are tasked with entering the nuclear disaster zone and scavenging resources to build your base, all the while fighting off beasts and bandits. The world contains a variety of strange anomalies that can cause you some serious damage.

I do recommend this game for people looking for a survival game with an Eastern European setting, the game is still in early access and it has a long way to come but I believe this game has a lot of potential if the dev listens to the community and stays true to their vision. Pick this up if you are looking for something a little different, its a good laugh with friends and can also be very scary at times, the in game proximity voice chat makes the experience all the more tense. I look forward to seeing the game evolve over time.

This is a colony survival game in which you are tasked with building a village and to survive through the every changing seasons whilst fending off enemy invaders and animals, as you progress through the game you unlock better weapons and technology to make survival more profitable and easier to handle, you can play this game solo or with friends, the game is really fun to explore the world and doing various quests for the people of the land. I would recommend this to people who enjoy colony survival games and are looking for something within the medieval setting, I think it is more fun with friends to be honest and I do wish this game were updated more but it does have a good amount of content.

Palworld is a creature battling and collecting game similar to Digimon or Pokemon, I would recommend this game to people who are looking to play games similar to those well known franchises but do not have a Nintendo console, the game is super fun and collecting the Pals (name of the creatures) is very fun, there are a variety of weapons to use including guns, bows, swords and rockets, you can breed two different pals together to hatch a new pal you have never had before, fight powerful bosses to progress in the technology tree and you can build your base and have your pals work on it to produce materials for crafting.

At the time of writing this review it is still in early access with version 1.0 planned for 2026, I am hoping to see some specific improvements, first I would like to see the ability to search through the Palpedia added to the game, right now its very difficult as you have to scroll through the list just to find a Pal you are looking for, there should be a search feature with a filter included so for example you can see all Pals that are Grass type.

Another feature I think needs adding is the ability to expand your base area, right now it seems quite small and cramped and you have to build a lot vertically which makes for very ugly tall bases, I would also like them to make the game less meta based, right now if you want to complete some of the fights you must use specific Pals because they are simple better, no matter how much you train other Pals they won't be better than others, I understand having to use certain types to counter other types but having to use a very specific Pal feels very limiting and also feels unfun as you cannot really have the team you want. I also think this game needs to have scaling difficulty, right now some of the summoning raids are designed for 4 players such as Xenolord, this really sucks because its just something that feels impossible if you like to play solo or with just one friend, so I hope they address this and scale the difficulty the more players there are. The Palpedia should also have a section on what types beat which because it sucks having to tab out of the game to google it, I feel it should be part of the information provided in the game, I also think there should be upgrades for the Ranch and Breeding aswell as the transport skill as these are missing from the research table.

Despite my many issues I would still recommend it as I still think its a super fun game until you get to the very end game where you need to use specific pals to win, pick this up if you are looking for a fun, optimised, creature collector that doesn't take its self too seriously.
