You're correct, foam is a good insulator, no matter how hot or cold the stuff in the cup, you never feel it. That's also why they often use foam panels in home insulation. But these guys saying they use paper because it keeps the heat in the cup... anybody who's ever put very hot water in a paper cup and then tried to hold it knows right quick this ain't the case. And the wax--I thought it was obvious why they put that there--but apparently not for that other guy. Man, I don't know whether to laugh hysterically or just shake my head at such foolishness.

Holy crap. I've never seen somebody argue that everybody's using paper coffee cups because they do a wonderful job of keeping your beverage hot. Or that the wax coating played a role in this. Good job trying to straighten out that nonsense...
