This is an incredibly chill game about maintaining a farm and building a relationship with the people in town.

Great to play if you feel like relaxing.

I can't believe this exists.

IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE PORT RUNNING BADLY:
I ran into performance issues when starting a new game. It lasted until I went into the first tutorial map, which got rid of all my issues completely, mostly because I switch from the new HD maps to the old ones. If you wanted HD maps for Disgaea, I suggest not getting this until it is patched, but if you don't care about using the old maps, it should work fine.
EDIT: Seems also if you don't have a controller connected, it causes more issues. Connecting one should fix them, as annoying as it sounds.

As for the review, it's Disgaea. If you like strategy RPGs, you'll love this for sure. It's absurd, both in story and in strategy.

Play with your friends and they will hate you for killing them in turn one, constantly flinging spells and traps in your direction to screw you over, even though you manage to get your stats high enough to fight the king. It then gets taken away from you by the friend that plays a throwing axe at himself by mistake and somehow still wins on the last turn.

It's just good fun. A great game to relax with friends and basically hang out while talking trash to each other and then cursing because every dungeon you entered spawned a Bane and your friend put a bounty on you right next to a guard.

Editing my old review, the updates brought to the game introduce dice as cosmetic items, which you can get for absolutely free by just playing public online games, as well as new cards and changes to the balance. The game is constantly being updated and provides a ton of fun. If you only play with friends, only one of you needs to by the character DLC for everyone in your group to play them, and I think the same works online. It's a pretty nice thing.

It's a Platinum action game so of course the combat is incredibly fun. There are loads of weapons for you to toy with on top of different characters to play. It's feels so good to hear the destruction in combat and watch the action unfold.

It's short for one playthrough (about 5 hours or less?) BUT the replayability reminds me of Viewtiful Joe. While short, you will want to keep getting better and better at the game to improve your rank. Even if you don't improve too much, it's still fun to beat up a bunch of robots in this manner. At the same time, you are upgrading yourself in the process (in this case, weapons and stats) and making the next playthrough that much better.

If you played a lot of Viewtiful Joe, you might scratch an itch with this game. It's a feeling I haven't felt since that game.

EDIT: Unlocked Magnus difficulty and yep, the game gets really interesting at this point. Well worth multiple playthroughs.

I beat it 3 times in one week. I'm still finding new things in the game. It's putting games I spent double/triple on to shame.

This game shoots to be a great sports game with a simple twist and it secures a GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

It's a brutal yet charming puzzle game!

After killing a few people who are acting insane (SPOILER!!!) in the early game, Albert Tokaj, psychiatrist, explains in a dark room with nobody in it: "People... are acting strange."

And from that point on, you kind of lose the sense of horror and just start laughing at everything he says and does. And boy does he say and do a lot of hilarious things!

Not a great game, but it isn't a bad game either. Combat isn't the best (the Fireaxe is literally the best weapon) but it isn't downright terrible. It looks great at higher settings though. Pretty average all around in the end, but nothing wrong with that for a $5 game that continuously goes on sale for under a dollar. Pick it up if you want something to do for a day. It's pretty worth it on its own there.

This is a pretty good FPS roguelike and probably worth a pick up at some point.

A run can take an hour unless you choose Endless mode (which is an option) and there are a lot of perks to vary runs up, and you constnatly unlock more weapons, perks, and stuff. Lots of fun.
