People complain about the amount of DLC, but most of it is just music and portrait packs that you don't need to buy.

Charlemagne and way of life are really the only ones that I would consider helpful enough to the game for newcommers to buy.

After that, you can buy horse lords, old gods, sword of islam or Rajas of india if you want to play in any of those locations.

If you're expericenced in the game, you can buy Conclave for a challenge.

Ruler designer is also pretty cool.

Everything else is just visual and audio addons, which you really won't need to buy, ever.










So anyway: the game.

Game is fun. Play multiplayer if possible, it's the best.

I've murdered my friend to take control of his empire in germany, only to have his son (who he now played as) move to inherit instead. His mother (the current ruler of the empire) gave him a few counties to control before he inherited the empire.

I married his now widowed mother and had a child with her. My friend did not notice this.

I murdered his mother, which gave me the title of the empire, with him still inheriting the title once I died.

It was at this point he noticed.

He barely finished saying "what the ♥♥♥♥" before I gave him independance from the empire.

But that wasn't the end of it. He was still set to inherit the title.

I had noticed earlier there had been a couple of wars with france over one of our territories. Looking into it, the land was je jure part of France (which means that they can start wars to claim it at any point, so long as we don't have a truce and they are strong enough to take it). Fortunately, this was one of the counties that his mother had given to him.

It was also his new capital.

Partway into a lovely and graphic description of how he would kill me and take back his rightful throne, France declares war on him. He panics and tries to hire mercinaries.

Unbeknown to him, I had betrothed (promiced to marry once both bride and groom came of age) my son to the king of France.

This means me and france have a non-agression pact, which I upgrade into an alliance.

I raise my men and start moving them towards his counties.

He doesn't notice. He is too busy fighting off the french army.

I siege one of his castles and take his uncle prisoner, who was the last person of his dynasty left alive (and thus the last person he could play as if his current character dies).

I kill the uncle in my prison, meaning he needs to surrender to the french in order to survive and have a chance of having a son.

Unfortunately, before he is able to surrender, france finishes besiging his capital, capturing him as a prisoner.

The french king kills him in prison in order to give the newly taken land to his grandson, who is next in line to inherit france.

Friend gets kicked from the game, as he has nobody else to play as.

Plot twist: My son died of Pneumonia earlier, meaning the next person that I will become if I die is my brother's son.

Plot twist: My brother was married to the daugher of the french king

Plot twist: I had assassinated every one of the french king's children except that one daughter

Plot twist: Both my brother and his wife had been murdered previously, which may or may not have been done by me also.

So the only man in the french king's family line who can inherit is my brother's son.

Who I'm going to become if I die.

A month later my plot to kill the french king goes through, making my heir the rightful king of france.

My character is depressed, so I commit suicide.

This give my heir the rightful ownership of my empire as well.

I become my heir.

I now own both my friend's empire and the kingdom of france, including the land that my friend's mother gave him.

This all happened within an in-game year.

I win.

Back in the day before broken promises and microtransactions.

If you're thinking about getting the second game, don't. In one event that we'd be looking forwards to the entire year they gave the entire community the middle finger, with a special "♥♥♥♥ you" to people who had brought A limited-editon DLC, which turn out to break two promises, that the item would "justify the price" (it was a badly made weapon skin) and that the item would give you no actual advantage in-game (it increased the weapon's stats).

Get this game, not the second one. This one feels like it was made by people who cared about the game, not people who were just in it for the paycheck.

This used to be my most played game on steam. Then everything went to ♥♥♥♥ on day one of crimefest.

In a post-apocalyptic earth, in which the US and New Scottish Union control the entirety of the globe, you play as either the Police-turned-Military forces that are attempting to defend their respective dictator's positions of power, or the Universal Freedom Movement resistance fighters, who are attempting to take back their homelands from the grasp of the opressive tyrants who oppress the populace who live there.

Engage in intense, fast and tactical PvP fights across the globe, and either fight for the freedom of humanity, or fight to maintain the status quo, and the oppression that inevitably follows it.

Some parts of the game are a little frustrating when you're just starting out but once you get the hang of it it's really fun. Generally a good game for space fans.

Much dictator, very dynasty. Such trade, much user friendly. Very overhaul. Such recommend.
