Is this old rig sufficient for gaming and streaming? Yes, indeed, 1080ti has more than enough power and Pascal chipset makes it possible to run game rendering and video encoding as separate processes that do not interfere. OBS needs to be set to use NVIDIA NVENC H.264 encoder.
The only trick I have is using two network cards, one for the game, the other one for streaming. Does not really affect singleplayer, but makes multiplayer games like RL a smooth experience. OBS can choose a specific card under Advanced settings, but that does not really work, I use ForceBindIP .
