Portal 2. Where do I begin with this game...

Portal 2 is a clear definition of how to improve as a sequel. So many times today, you will see a sequel that has the same old features, but has new characters in an eerily similar story and some new graphics. Portal 2 is the polar opposite of those sequels.

First off, it plays off of its original story so well. The transition from Portal to Portal 2 is amazing and from character references to the original game to building upon character's stories, while also being able to introduce new characters impeccably well, Portal 2 is a masterclass in storytelling.

Secondly, the gameplay is great. There aren't many games which you can come back to 6 years after its release and still be impressed by its genius design, but Portal 2 pulls it off. The portal system is kept much the same, using momentum and timing to get through the 'test chambers', but with new inclusions such as the light bridge and the gels, it harbours a whole host of creative designs.

Going off of the single-player now, I have no bad things to say about the Co-Op mode of this game. The only gripe is that people I play with are untrustworthy people, but the co-op system is great. Keeping it at 2 people, even the menu to get to the levels are a puzzle in itself, and its amazing how they made a whole games filled with tons of puzzles, and yet they can still design a whole host of levels for the multiplayer. The gesturing, pointer system and even the co-op characters are so well done, that this is one of the best multiplayer experiences which has graced upon a game.

In conclusion, Portal 2 is totally worth your money. It is one of the best Valve releases ever and is a must for ANY PC user.

You should really play this game. Not only is it one of the best strategy games coming from a famous series of games, but you have endless possibilities! Should you make peace with Elizabeth? Should you research Pottery or Mining? It's one of the best PC Games I've ever played and I recommend you should try it too

Great game if you want to create things or go to the steam workshop and mod the game up.
