This simple, solo game of cards has to be twisted and manipulated so that you can reach the higher and higher scores demanded of you. Using a mixture of the various Tarot cards, the stat-boosting Planet cards, and the game-changing 100+ Jokers at your disposal, you're going to have to craft a run to defeat a myriad of tough bosses. Every run is completely fresh, and there's 15 decks with 8 levels of Difficulty, and 20 Challenge levels, so the fun will go on and on and on and on...

Balatro is full of presentation from the beautiful pixel card art, to the constantly changing swirling background, to the adaptive music that is always fresh despite the fact there's only a single song. The game is more than another addictive card game, it bleeds quality and love. But on that note, it's still one of the most addicting games on the store, and once you have it, it's gonna be on your mind for a while.

After many years of consistent support for BTD 5 (which is still ongoing as I write this), Bloons TD 6 is a modernization and natural progression for the series, for better and worse.

BTD 6 is follows the same formula as previous entries in the series: Place a wide variety of well-armed monkeys to defend their village from invading balloons in classic Tower Defense fashion. Many Bloons need many specific Monkeys to defeat them, however BTD 6 allows for much more versatility adding an entire 3rd pathing for each monkey to choose from. The amount of ways to build a defense are almost endless! On top of that, Heroes are new special monkeys that slowly power up over time becoming stronger BUT you can only place one per game, and you can only bring one with you into a map. The artstyle has completely been overhauled, but honestly it's much smoother and more colorful and matches the cartoonish energy the series has always been known for.
The only major complaint is, like I said earlier, one that comes with modernization. The ludicrous amount of monetization with in-game currencies which give you mid-game boosts, early unlocks, and even cosmetics. Sure, these can be earned in-game, but the game will push these in your face frequently if you find yourself in the daily menu.

Overall, this is an excellent new entry in a long running series that will be supported for a very VERY long time. Always expect new content and to have a good time...or to rage out of your mind if you wish to try the new, daunting CHIMPS mode! Either way, Bloons TD 6 proves that BTD is still the kingpin of the Tower Defense genre.

Short but sweet, Helltaker is a game with handcrafted visuals, catchy music, clever and funny dialogue, and genuinely mind breaking puzzles. This is a game that, despite being free, is worth every bit of time you spend on it.
Bonus points for being easy to get 100% Achievements on.

This is probably the best alternative to the classic Picross series, but with enough of its own unique twists and gamemodes to make it stand out.
Most of these game modes have unique Leaderboards that reset daily letting you challenge friends or try to take the top spot. Combine that with Workshop support with near infinite possibilities, this is one of the best casual puzzle experiences on Steam currently.

A classic puzzle series from overseas trying to get a leg up on the English speaking community, Puyo Puyo made a bold move and teamed up with Tetris to finally show us what we've been missing. So, was it worth it?

Absolutely!
Amazing dubbing, fun writing, and addictive gameplay means this game is very recommended for puzzle geniuses or just a group who wants a fun party game. The only gripes I have are the shoddy online and matchmaking, and the horribly unbalanced Tetris in high-level gameplay. Those things aside, however, this game is a must buy for anyone who even THINKS they like puzzle games. Don't pass this one up!

Pros:

+ Enjoyable boss encounters
+ Nostalgia, but in all the right ways
+ Amazing OST full of great remixes
+++ Great voice acting from Classic Sonic

Cons:
- Classic Physics aren't very "classic", and downright unresponsive sometimes.
- Classic levels are smaller than the originals (however they still have some exploration)
- Some Boost sections can be a bit too simple
- Mediocre ending

Overall, if you like anything Sonic, it's worth a look.
