Whats that? You're about to capture and prevent a team from winning? That sucks! Here comes a team of lobotomite morons who only want to box, they'll kill you, tbag, and the game will end because they refused to ever fight the winning team.

This game is straight up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage.

Everyones a complete bullet sponge.

Beginning snipers don't even one shot to the head.

Game has potential, but the bullet sponge enemies just isn't it.

This game has a DISGUSTINGLY rampant pedo problem, no amount of reports or evidence seems to make the mod / dev team understand.

Obviously, at the time of this review, Lavender is in extremely early access. There will obviously be features missing for a bit, so pop into the official discord and ask around!

So I was apart of the patreon alpha testing, and I can at least say this:

- Lavender is going to be a amazing Social Sandbox in about a year.

Lavender itself is highly optimized, and that's thanks to the wonderful developers, and multi-threaded support.

June and No2 are very transparent, and very friendly dudes, you can absolutely feel the passion behind Lavender when you get onto the discord, and speak with the community.


Now, most importantly, I know most people who play this are going to comment about "VRCHAT VS LAVENDER" crap, I have a little over 1k hours in VRChat, and I will confidently say that Lavender imo is the better social platform for my specific needs.

- Lavender is much more optimized then vrchat, cloth, physics and even player optimizion is significantly better.
- Lavender lets creators code in Lua, to make much more responsive gamemodes, VRChat devs really don't care about proper gamemode support.
- Lavender also has much more options for creators. Its being built for creators, and that's something I personally love.

Now for VRChat pros, for now:
- VRChat is obviously much more common, and its free. So its easier to get into as a base social platform.
- VRChat, while it is extremely limiting in places it really shouldn't be, has brought forth some really interesting creations, and have assisted with appearance of thousands of new creators.
- VRChat is free (Though that often introduces a massive list of exploit related issues)
- Honestly that's all I can really praise for vrchat, the platform is, while I appreciate the thought, not up to par with my personal creative needs.

So if you're a VRChat creator, looking for a much more creatively free system, I do 100% recommend Lavender as a platform. You can make avatars, props, and even dedicated gamemodes. You have scripting support, its multi-threaded, and the platform is evolving to suit our needs very rapidly, the work and develop on this game is quite a spectacle.

If you are purely a social person, I probably wouldn't recommend it just yet, Lavender is obviously still under construction, and I'd estimate that for about a year, Lavender wont be to note worthy for the social crowds.

That being said, I highly suggest grabbing Lavender, its setting the definition for what a Social VR Sandbox platform is meant to be.

This was one of the most broken ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ things I ever played. Allow me to explain:
- Forced Super high quality meshes that ♥♥♥♥ you in the FPS.
- Forced Subsurface Scattering that ♥♥♥♥ you in the FPS.
- Literally no culling of anything, ever, that ♥♥♥♥ you in the FPS.
- Netcode is absolute trash, even Australians have better internet connection to NA games then this game.
- Literally a reskin of ark assets.
- STILL HAS THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ARK MENU, use a keyboard or controller to select the options, go down below exit, press enter. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.

Refund this ♥♥♥♥ before its to late, this game is just not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worth a single cent. Its a full on scam, and an embarasment to the gaming community. I'd even go so far to say that Fallout 76 and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ROBLOX games are better then anything this company will EVER release.

Unfortunatly, the devs are pretty ban happy if you kill streamers.

Found that out today when I was watching someone streaming the game trying to team with his mate, he killed some chick and her friend was crying about him stream sniping, and he was banned next game.

Great dev team you got here.

Remember boys and girls, being a KOS is a horrible thing, if you try to kill others, you'll most likely kill some streamer and get banned pretty quickly.

I mean.... Its a VR MMO, as it states. It was pretty alright for the most part, I bought it from watching streamers play it, seemed interesting.

But what I've noticed is this: It uses the teleport movement system, and has zero support for people who really do not like it (I enjoy moving my sticks to move around, makes it feel more real)

Its "smooth Turning" looks to have a motion blur for what ever reason, its honestly not worth it to use it, you're better off using the 90* Turning mode.

The fighting is just... Not what I expected. From what I could tell, Even if I had my shield in front of me, Id still take damage, then when I'd go to attack, my sword would be blocked by my own shield that isn't even near my attack area.


So with just that, I couldn't go on. Sorry but this game really isn't worth 50$. Maybe 20$, I wouldn't mind that, but with the constant crashing and really poor fighting system, I just can't get behind this game.

Alright, so in the 8.3 hours that I played this beta, you should know:

Alright, so for my review:

Is this game worth 25$? Perhaps. It could be if they treat it correctly.

Will I be buying it? Whilst I would indeed love to stream this game, I don't personally believe its worth the money.

So this game isn't a survival game, its more of a MMO rpg type game where players have all the power. Literally, clans will dominate this game like all other of its kind, and very quickly, official servers will die to the clans. Player created maps will be some of the more popular modes for the increase XP, as leveling takes a considerable amount of time after level 10.

So, as for leveling:
Leveling is a pain in the ass after level 10, as stated above. The main reason being, xp pretty much doubles with each level. I was able to get to level 39 in the 8 hours I played, but it was a glitch that brought me to it. I just logged into a server with someone elses character for what ever reason.

Anyway, the reason I won't be buying this game, is as stated, the server issue and the hardcore AI bugs that need to be fixed before all else.

Would I stream it / record for youtube should the game actually work properly? Without a doubt. Advertising is my thing, so I could get a pretty good following pretty quickly around this, but as stated, I just wont be buying it for a while. Perhaps two or three months after release if the games still popular?

Anyway, as for gameplay, its a magic sandbox mmo adventure action game, you can fight dragons, orcs, giants, feys, demons, and many other magical creatures. You have many different weapons at your disposal, ranging from staffs to axes. Aswell as magic tailored to only the weapon you use. There is also taming, but its not forever. Depending on your level, animals will leave after a set time, or turn on you. So beware!

This game in my own opinion is very unique, I did thoroughly enjoy playing it despise being forced to change servers every half an hour because of the overflow. There was just something so special that kept bringing me back, I really did have quite a bit of fun.

And the biggest reason why you SHOULD get this game, is the devs listen. Join the discord and give feedback with any issues you have, the devs are active in development and love hearing you guys out.

WARNING: I know I have a very little play time right now, but if you read the review you will know why.
WARNING: I know this game is very early alpha, HOWEVER:

- Despite being in early alpha, the developers should have the game already optimized for LOW END MACHINES.
I find it horrible that they even thought about releasing the game at this time for such an unreasonable price. With the game on the lowest of the lowest settings, (AMD 5700-something) It looked as if I was playing a Nintendo 64. But the Nintendo has better graphics then this, I also ran it with 2FPS. Not to mention everything only appeared 5 feet infront of my character.

- The game has amazing potential, and once they fix this super ♥♥♥♥ optimization, I might reconsider this review and change it. But right now I'm actually shocked they even released this disgusting disgrace of a game with such optimization.

Game developers should keep in mind that most of us out here have a very hard time saving money because bills can be so high, so getting a decent gaming computer is almost impossible...

- Right now, unless you have a super gaming rig with the top tier gear, you might be able to run the game on high. But if you have money struggles like myself, then don't even bother looking at this game's page.

This game is basiclly pay 2 win. And sucks on a laptop. However, there are countless match's that I had fun in, in the short time I played, but so far I really think people should play this!
