Really wish steam had a "Mixed" option

Good:
Core game loop is enjoyable and the combat phases are really fun and competitive, the transition from a capture the flag into a search and destroy is genuinely interesting, and actually a fairly unique approach to a shooter, the fact that the foundation is solid is actually a really good thing imo, and with a config file that gets rid of the forced mouse acceleration, gunplay feels good tok

The bad
Performance sucks.
Without a config file, gunplay sucks.
Already has MTX
Mining phase is weird and unneeded
The lack of weapon customisation is annoying and sime scopes straight up suck
3v3 is weird, really should be 5v5, with some tuning to the search and destroy phase to compensate


Overall i hope this game gets time to cook, i hope the devs listen and take what players say into consideration, it has alot of potential, and i hope it doesnt die before it reaches there

Dont normally leave reviews, but this really doesnt deserve the amount of hate it has, its at worse mid, but like i said, really could be moulded into something good. Unless another dev takes what highguard is and makes another, better game

Honestly has some of the most fun and rewarding boss fights fromsoft have ever made, launch was a little rough, some frame issues on final boss and the odd dodgy hotbox, but the dlc took just as long on my first play through as what my first main game play through took just from sheer exploration alone.

Fair warning, this is alot harder than the main game, so be prepared to learn some movesets, or bring mimic with you! Don't let other people tell you how to play the game, it's your time/money so do what makes you happy

TL:DR wait for it being 50% off but its not a bad game

The game is good... thats it, its not great, its not amazing, its not bad. its good

The early game is REALLY hard in comparison to other souls like games. and i remember really struggling to get started. just because of getting over ganked, going down a side path that i was under levelled for. or some bosses straight up one shotting me if i messed up a single mechanic.

the mid game is probably where this game shines the most. once you unlock some mid game features, the QOL of the game vastly improves and other than there still being some over tuned gank fest areas. the bosses became more enjoyable.

I steamrolled through the late game... last few bosses i defeated in a couple of tries at most. and it wasnt very exiting or rewarding to finish. i think my thoughts were, cool im done. now what

now im not a souls expert, iv played all the souls games and beat them at least once. and lies of P. if i was to rate the game honestly, its better than DS2 but i dont think i would put it any higher than that

id rate the game as dont buy unless DS2 is your favourite souls game, or if the game is on sale for like 50% off. at full price, Lies of P is a much better experience

pretty fun at first, but starts to get repetitive about an hour and a half in, worth getting if its on sale

Okay so this game has some annoying features that I don't 100% understand, so this review is going to be based on stuff I do understand.

So I started playing this game when it was In either early beta or late alpha, it was so long ago and the game was so polished then that I didn't even bother noting down what the version of the game was and iv been playing it and not playing it ever since

When I first started it was very basic, there was only hunger and he to worry about and surviving a long period of time was easy because seasons weren't a thing, it would get boring after a few hours but tbh it was extreamly entertaining and unique for what it was, no buildings, and no winter, life was simple.

A few months go by, I'm not playing the game, so I decide to jump back on and have some fun, only to find out that ♥♥♥♥ had well and truly got real, seasons were here, Chester was here, and a whole bunch of buildables was here, ohh, and sanity. So I had no idea what sanity was, all I knew was that suits depletes when ♥♥♥♥ happens, and the only way I know how to get it back up, was flowers, so I would have chest and chests of flowers. And it was a giant learning curve for a while and it was amazing.

So long story short for the rest of it, I stopped playing and when I came back to find that being wet ruins my life and I still have no idea what I'm doing.

Pros:
-Lots and lots of stuff to do
-Is extreamly good priced, and even better on sale
-Gets updated frequently
-Has a unique learning curve
-Has hours and hours of content
-Even more pros but it's a quick list

Cons:
-Learning curve takes time, and skill is hard
-You will die
-You will become insane
-You will freeze
-Starving is the least of your problems
-You will still starve

10/10, best game ever
