I love Elden Ring, I love Rogue Likes/Lites.
A great game that has even more untapped potential.

Edit: Good on them, they changed the bp cost back. Now here's to hoping the stability and other changes they talked about are good. Still not recommending it till then though.


Edit: Changed to negative because the game is a hot mess, and the new battle pass monetization is unacceptable. Literally made it that impossible to buy with coins so you have to always buy the battle pass with money + they split it in two for every season split without reducing the cost.
Ridiculous.

Old Review:
Already poured over 800 hours into this game on origin and its in my opinion the best and most fun FPS and BR. The movement, high TTK and special abilities are the "selling points" (metaphorically speaking since its a free2play game) for me.
The abilities are not just "press q to damage", they are there to complement the gunfight since the game in first place, is a gunbased game. Your character will not matter much if you do not possess basic skills like aiming etc and rarely decides wins. They are there to assist you and to complement your playstyle.
The high ttk negates many "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" moments. The Situation in where you turn the corner and get one shot wont (normally) happen if you have full hp and a proper shield. So its really difficult to "cheese". The only way you could get one shot is the Kraber. Its a rare sniper rifle which can one shot headshot you no matter what shield you have and one shot bodyshot you when you have the worst shield. But no worries, I can count the times I got one shot by it on one hand.
The movement is in my opinion the perfect middleground. Not too slow where only strategy and aim is important, not too fast to be reaction based like in Titanfall, where tactical thinking isnt as important. Its a nice mix.
One thing should be clear, if you are a solo player and are not fond of teammates then this game is NOT for you.
Its a TEAM game, no solos mode.

Where is the white patch? You can clearly see one on the picture both here and ingame but its not there when you equip it.
