Probably one of the best deck builders I've ever played, if not the best one! I went in unsure it would be my thing and then spent 4 hours lost in Jimbo's realm. Heavily recommend to anyone who wants a good deck builder, loves video poker, or needs someone to seemingly disappear for an entire day.

Scratches an itch that I didn’t know I had, after RE2R this has to be my absolute favorite in the franchise. An absolute must have for even casual RE fans and an amazing jump in point for newcomers. The amount of care taken into this remake makes some remakes lack of love so apparent. I never expected to come back to replay this game immediately, but I’m on my third run and having almost as much fun as the first.

I bought this game at launch... on the PS4. The game I experienced was perhaps the worst running game I have ever played. It crashed 23 times in 24 gameplay hours over 3 days, and each crash took my PS4 an average 2.5 minutes to go from crash to PS4 menu. I thought the game was unsalvagable. Fast forward a few years and now we have a fun, functioning game that I can happily recommend.
It still isnt the game they promised, and I dont think it ever will be. However, what it is now and what they have had to fix to get it there is nothing short of commendable. I am hoping that "Project Orion" will be the game we were told 2077 would be, but for now 2077 is at least a game that gets the setting and delivers an immersive world filled with dangerous gangs. I just wish we had some poser gangs.

The best platform fighter on PC, seriously amazing.

They added GGPO, Not only is this a great fighting game but you can play it online too! Some other companies could learn a thing or two.

Great soundtrack, but there is a major problem with the MP3 versions of the songs where there is this odd clicking that isn't present on the flac versions, and when I convert the flac versions to mp3 the problem isnt there, so it must be whatever they used to convert to mp3. Amazing tracks from Striker and The Jasons none the less! The perfect songs to slay to!

One of the best 3D platformers in years. This is what Yooka-Laylee should have been but can never be. A game filled with personality and charm!

Here is a timeline of how this games worked from launch to now

April last year: Devs released a broken game that runs at the speed of an old timey nickelodeon. But they will fix it, I will wait

June last year: They seemed to have fixed it a little but the online still doesn't work. I will wait though, I have faith in a fix

October last year: The mobile app still isn't fixed, so you cant get the skins. The online still doesn't work, and DLC deletes the game occasionally when downloaded. Hopefully they are working on a fix. I will wait. After all they are fixing batman.

And here we are at today. They have not only scammed us, but they have destroyed their reputation in almost an comedic sense.

They have lied to us, stolen from us, and then tried to bury us. We have been abandoned. Warner Brothers never cared about us, so they have left. We are better for it.

Under no circumstances buy this game.

EDIT July 20th, 2021:

Man, The years do go by. A lot has changed in the world since I wrote this review, and this game is certainly one of those things.

This game has everything you want in a fighting game now, Rollback, a good active community, and a killer roster. This is now THE definitive MK experience (This or MK9, take your pick.)

At its current price point I would consider MKXL a must have for anyone even casually interested in fighting games.

While I was not to crazy on MK11, and the customization system of it and Injustice 2 left a lot to be desired in my opinion, the fact that NetherRealm never abandoned this game leaves me hopeful for the company's future.

Also if anyone at NR is reading this for some reason: Please, I am begging you, listen to the fans on silhouettes and move readability. If these games had the silhouettes and readability of its contemporaries (Skullgirls, Tekken, SF, GG, and UNICLR to name a few), the franchise would be unstoppable.
