Though, original point was that it was impractical. The same resources could have been spent to build several cruisers, which would have been harder to sink than one battleship and offered greater versatility. Battleships used to operate in fleets because they benefit from protection and support and they're too valuable to put at such high risk. Doing it Hitler's way was, as usual, ill-advised.
She was scuttled because she lost that fight, and she did sink (though she wasn't sunk by her enemies directly, they were the cause for her being scuttled).
"The battleship was Germany's largest warship, and displaced more than any other European battleship, with the exception of HMS Vanguard, commissioned after the end of the war."
She was BIG. As far as battlecruisers, I think you might be thinking of the HMS Hood which was sunk by the Bismark. THAT was a "pocket battleship", and had been due for upgrades which never happened.
On the other hand, yeah....most of those giant designs on the Workshop are just for show.
Proceed with building your Bismarks, gentlemen. Just remember, she was impractical and she sank.

So I took all the characters I so rarely get to keep around, like Alora and Xan.
Hexxat. She's in the Copper Coronet. IF you take her quest and she joins your party, I have this to say: at the completion of her quest, KILL THE ♥♥♥♥♥!
Whatever you do don't keep her in your party. Beamdog did some of the crappiest work on her quest line. It's more full of bugs than a motel built inside of a landfill. She ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my game and I had to revert to a MUCH earlier save game state thus losing tremendous amounts of work.
Despite being well versed in the use of CLUAConsole commands (including being able to forcibly spawn necessary quest NPCs when they vanished or otherwise glitched AND being able to set the appropriate variables for their dialogue trees to trigger) the quest line STILL goes FUBAR.
Don't. Just don't even go near that walking landmine of failure.
1.) Play a Shadow Dancer Human till 5th level (10k XP), Dual Class to Mage (gaining access to both classes by the 30k XP mark).
2.) Shadow Walk into the center of a horde of enemies with a scroll of Sunfire. Light 'em up.
3.) Angry survivors? Hide in plain sight and go home.
