Got bored at the mandatory tutorials when I tried it out of curiosity. Haven't touched it since.

This is an early access game (atleast I think it is), so I'll give it a bit slack. Plus I got only got this game for a dollar, so I can't expect too much.

As of right now, this game looks like the older NFS games (Between Underground and Carbon) but just drifting, with the controls being noticibly more refined for simulated racing, rather than an arcadey one. This isn't that bad, the graphics are surprisingly decent for an indie game and you can tell a lot of effort went to the cars and drifting mechanics. Plus there's also a legitimately decent driver camera and there's a good selection of popular modern and classic tuner cars to choose from.

One bad part is that the game is just badly optimized. I can run most modern racing titles just fine, but this thing struggles badly with framerate issues, even when I've restorted to almost minimal settings. Another problem is that the game's UI is too minimalistic and lacks crucial information (a pretty glaring problem for a simulator). Nothing there doesn't explain what you're suppose to do, how your tuning settings affect vehicle performance, or how races work. Sure, there's online explanations elsewhere, but the thing is; players aren't suppose to look elsewhere to explain how the game works. The game itself should be explaining the core game mechanics.

You're just suppose to go in there and either sink or swim and overall the game kinda just feels dead. Not the "no players" dead, there's some multiplayer activity, but you have little to no interaction with everything else that the entire game feels souless.

Overall, its nice to look at and there is a lot of potential for this game, but the actual game just isn't fun right now. If you want a better low-performance racing game that has better drifting mechanics; I'd really just recommend playing NFSU2 or GRID 1 (granted GRID 1 doesn't have the tuning aspect but its' still leagues better, especially for a game that came out almost a decade ago).

Game developers attempt to create a degree of difficulty and challenge with their games, using a variety of methods. Some test your brains with elaborate puzzles. Some test your cunning by requiring you to have snap-reflexes to get through some levels and events. Some test your endurance by pitting you against truly undying bosses and hordes of enemies. And most games typically combine these elements to create a fun challenge.

Warface however, decides to eschew this by just making the game incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to launch. Two hours of fiddling around and searching google, their forums, and support center, and not a single thing worked. You might get lucky by being able to beat the patcher and move on to the next level (I.E: The actual game), but in my current experience; just avoid it to not waste your time. Its never a good sign for a game when just trying to execute it is a challenge.

The game does nothing but crash. Even on the lowest setting possible it does nothing but crash to the desktop without any kind of explanation why, despite my system meeting the minimum requirements.

I've tried every fix listed on reddit, their official forums, and steam, and nothing worked. And frankly if I had to go through all that trouble just to play the game for the first time, it isn't worth it. Better, more stable alternatives exist.

And the fact this hasn't been addressed yet, despite this problem being more than a year old speaks volumes about the possible experience I would have had here.

10/10. Like Skyrim, but with less running.

Its fun, realistic racing with some arcade and simulator elements throw into the mix....that is until Ravenwest decides to join in a race with you. In which case, the game turns into an unarmed version of Death Race.

I used to play this about three or four years ago, but stopped after a while because I lost interest. Fast forward and I decided to give it another try, since I heard some changes happened to this game.

Apparently, all the weapon mods and armored suit parts I grinded for by advertising this game on my Facebook and playing for hours on end, getting curbstomped by vets and P2Winners are gone. And matchmaking is balls since I can't find a single server where I'm not thrust up against people who have the best weapons and armor mods available, who utterly obliterate me through sheer cheese.

Yeah, unless you're that masochistic or have deep wallets, give this a pass. This game has a decently fair system where you can reasonably modify your guns and armor at a realistic pace: but good god, unless you're going to down a lot of dosh at your first go to get decent starter gear; you'll rarely be able to enjoy the game, due to the fact on how completely imbalanced it is.

Not worth it for full price unless you have money to burn, but definitely get if its on sale. The missions are kinda meh, but the final mission does provide a decent amount of tech that would only be available by the end parts of the game (most importantly battlecruiser-tech, which is a ♥♥♥♥♥ to get, even at the end-game).

Zhang, the character that comes in with this DLC, is a pretty solid squadmember in his own right. He immidiately starts as an LT-ranked heavy that has 1 more point of HP than regular squad members. This makes him a godsend to have during the early parts of the game where you lack vets of all kinds.

The game is about 4 robbers throwing bags everywhere. You will never find a better bag-throwing sim elsewhere.

The game's community is filled with a bunch of salty, whiny kids who thinks that everything OVK does victimizes them as scam victims. In short, the community's the bastard child of /v/ and Tumblr.

Overall, PD2's a fun game. Have fun at the game that kinda-sorta aged well with ops that range from serious to wacky, and try not to take the community at large seriously.

Also I honestly wouldn't pay too much attention to the rest of the reviews left here and just buy the game/judge it by your own merits. Most of them are really just the community being spiteful than legitimately critical about it. The game can be legitimately fun and will have you playing here for dozens to hundreds of hours. Even better if you have friends to play it with. Hell I've had 900 hours by the time I'm typing this and I'm still having fun.

Contrary to what they're saying, the DLCs are optional and you can still have fun with the game without them (although there's noticibly less variety) and microtransactions have not affected gameplay at all and its just a knee-jerk reaction at the fact of spending a more money on optional cosmetics.

Its largely cosmetic upgrades for your AR15s and AKs (and any other gun capable of taking AR15/AK buttstock attachments). You won't really "need" anything here as the Gage Mod kits are more than enough for your customization needs (And they fit more weapons to boot). These are really just to make your guns look tacticool. They have little better stat boosts than Gage mod parts, but you could compensate for that using the right skills and modparts.

But if you're gonna buy this, consider the following first:
1. Just get it while on sale.
2. Alternatively, just either get or stick with the Gage modkit.
3. Every last part is locked behind retardedly retarded achivements that aren't even related to the weapons they're unlocking. So if you don't want to do screw around with achievements to get something you rightfully paid for: just google 3rd party programs to unlock them. I for one am not going to ♥♥♥♥ around for hours grinding achivements, to unlock content I paid real money for (with completely frustrating achivements that feel like a chore to do, of all things).
